  • Patent number: 11712884
Abstract: A screen-printing cylinder includes a cylinder shell and one or more flexible surface elements on the cylinder shell. The one or more flexible surface elements are at least one of resilient or springy, and the one or more flexible surface elements are elliptical patches or circular patches. The flexible surface elements give way upon contact with sheet grippers projecting from an impression cylinder, so that it is not necessary to move the screen-printing cylinder out to avoid contact with the sheet grippers.

  • Patent number: 9707793
Abstract: A printing screen includes a screen-shaped fabric layer with fabric threads being angled relative to one another to form a carrier layer. An imaged stencil layer is connected to the fabric layer and provided with passages. A respective passage forms a continuous channel and has an opening that is smaller on a printing material side of the printing screen than on a squeegee side of the printing screen. Such a printing screen has sufficient stability and advantageously allows the finest lines and dots to be printed. A method for imaging such a printing screen is also provided.

  • Patent number: 9333740
Abstract: A flat screen material for use in screen printing has strands forming a woven screen structure. The strands are arranged at angles to one another and crossing at crossing points, where the strands form undercuts there, and otherwise forming a screen structure with openings and metal deposits, at least at the surfaces thereof, deposited onto the strands in an electroplating process. The undercuts, in the area of crossing points of the strands, at least to some extent have a filling, made of the metal, that has been applied in the electroplating process. The filling, in particular, forms an inner-edge transition with rounding. The fillings improve the properties of the screen material, particularly with regard to stability, through-flow and possible cleaning. A screen for rotary screen printing is made of such a flat screen material.

  • Publication number: 20140360390
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a screen structure and a screen structure manufactured in accordance with the method include the provision of at least two mesh layers. A first mesh layer and a second mesh layer are provided and brought together to contact each other. Advantageously, the first and second mesh layers are jointly metal-plated. The applied metal firmly bonds the two mesh layers to each other to create a composite mesh. An advantage of the screen structure is that it has a particularly great ink application volume and a very high degree of stability.

  • Publication number: 20110283904
Abstract: A screen is formed from a two-dimensional screen material and used in rotary screen printing. The screen material is formed from webs, for instance threads, forming a screen structure and arranged at an angle relative to each other and forming the screen structure with longitudinal openings such as longitudinal meshes.

  • Patent number: 6745686
Abstract: A support for a cylindrical screen in a rotation screen printing apparatus. The apparatus has two sides. The support includes a side flange on each of the two ends of the apparatus; an intermediate ring resiliently supported by each side flange; a turnbuckle rotatable rotatably disposed in each intermediate ring; a stencil ring disposed in each turnbuckle. Whereby the screen is received at each end of the apparatus through the stencil rings in a turnbuckle, so that when subjected to a load, the screen is able to pivot and be displaced in an axial direction relative to the flange at least within predetermined limits.
