  • Patent number: 4776163
Abstract: A gas turbine drive (1) is presented, for which an auxiliary device power unit (16) can be coupled alternately with the low-pressure rotor (2) or the high-pressure rotor (3).

  • Patent number: 4368913
Abstract: An industrial robot gripping device for gripping workpieces which have opposite contoured faces comprise gripping jaws which are contained by a parallel linkage which have faces which engage on the respective faces of the workpiece from opposite sides and are of a mere image configuration so that the engagement is complete. The parallel linkages include a coupler link at one end of the linkage which carries the respective clamping jaw and a flap interconnecting two parallel crank arms at their opposite end parts and also connecting two guide rod members which are pivoted at spaced locations to the housing so that they may move parallel to each other. The outer crank arms of each linkage include an extending portion which terminates in a bearing pin which is engaged in a curved slot which is defined symmetrically on each side of the housing.

  • Patent number: 4349080
Abstract: A drive unit for land vehicles, especially track-laying vehicles armored on all sides. The drive unit has a gas turbine consisting of a gas generator and a useful turbine connected subsequent thereto which acts upon a drive axle by way of a drive or transmission. The gas turbine is arranged above the transmission, with the longitudinal axis thereof extending in direction of the vehicle longitudinal axis. The air inlet is provided near the upper wall, and the exhaust gas outlet is provided in the vicinity of the rear wall of the vehicle. The arrangement of the drive unit for a land vehicle permits the smallest possible construction and allows the installation of as many devices serving a military purpose as possible. Provision is also made for auxiliary devices to be operated independently of the traveling drive.

  • Patent number: 4289611
Abstract: A vortex separator, operating as a dust filter system for air intake machines, such as gas turbines and other internal combustion engines, includes dust filters having first and second casings arranged coaxially with helical bladed inserts mounted within the upstream ends of the casings, and an air outlet connector extending coaxially of the downstream end of the second casing. The downstream end of the first casing surrounds and forms an annular space with the upstream end of the following casing, and the downstream end of such following casing surrounds and forms an annular space with the upstream end of the air outlet connector.
