  • Publication number: 20060036287
Abstract: A defibrillator including an output stage that has a high-voltage section and patient electrode connections which can be automatically connected by a coupling circuit to said high-voltage section via a relay, and that has a relay testing device. A reliable functioning of the defibrillator is ensured due to the provision of a discharging resistor device which can be automatically switched to instead of the patient electrode connections by the relay, and because the relay testing device is designed for testing the relay while involving the state of the adjacent discharging resistor device.

  • Publication number: 20060004415
Abstract: A defibrillator including an output stage, which is controlled by a control circuit for emitting a biphasic defibrillation pulse and which has an H-bridge between a positive pole and a negative pole of an energy accumulator device. A patient electric circuit is provided in a shunt arm having at least one inductive resistor. This invention achieves a reliable functioning of the defibrillator and thus to regulate the patient current in one direction, only the switching element, which is assigned to this current direction and which is located in the H-limb that points toward the negative pole, is controlled with the higher frequency, whereas in order to regulate the patient current in the other direction, only the switching element, which is assigned to this other current direction and which is located in the H-limb that points toward the positive pole, is controlled with the higher frequency.

  • Patent number: 5067481
Abstract: A control device for an air-bubble massage appliance has an external housing containing an electric motor driven blower enclosed by a cover and also containing an internal housing having a horizontally aligned connecting piece which connects on one end to an opening in the external housing for an air hose and on the opposite end to air outlet slits in the blower cover. The external and internal housings have overlapping water discharge outlets in their respective floors to isolate any water which may enter the device from electrical components of the device. The housing floors also have at least one air aspirating opening. The electric motor is housed in the upper portion of an aspirating hood above a blower hood, thereby forming an aspirating chamber, and drives at least one fan wheel on a vertical shaft extending from the underside of the motor. The blower cover is sealed against the blower hood by profile packings.

  • Patent number: 4876753
Abstract: This invention relates to an air turbulence massage device having a control device with a blower unit and a turbulence matting which can be placed in a bathtub. The turbulence matting can be connected with the blower unit outlet by means of an air tube. The turbulence intensity, using a preset program, can be adjusted and changed between a lower and an upper value by varying the rotational speed of the blower unit. To achieve siultaneous switching times with the turbulence process, this invention provides that the lower value is preset as a minimum pressure value which is enough to overcome a counter-pressure predetermined by a normal water level in the bathtub. The upper value is preferably preset as an adjustable maximum pressure value.

  • Patent number: 4876752
Abstract: This invention relates to a control device for an air turbulence massage device having a housing. The housing accommodates a blower unit which can be driven by an electrical motor. The housing has a connecting piece for an air tube that is in communication with a turbulence matting. The housing accommodates a check valve device which, when the control device is shut off, prevents water from flowing back from the turbulence matting to the electrical motor and the blower unit. The housing comprises an external housing and a separate internal housing. Air flow is separated from a water discharge path leading from the internal housing such that the blower unit and the electrical motor never contact the water flowing into the housing and the water can flow out of the control device.

  • Patent number: 4660548
Abstract: A massage apparatus having a massage plate unit oscillated by electrical drive means, with the oscillatory motion being in the plane of a first component plate. The massage apparatus has a single drive unit and is suitable for administering vibratory as well as percussion massage. The massage plate has two component plates which form, with their upper surfaces, an angle of 270.degree.. The first component plate is oscillated by motion components which act approximately perpendicular to the second component plate, and the second component plate undergoes rising and falling motions in accordance with such motion components.

  • Patent number: 4625715
Abstract: A whirlpool bath massaging apparatus having a bubble mat, a distributor having a control switch for regulating the air supply, and control means including a blower which is in communication with the bubble mat through an aerator tube and the distributor. The distributor is in the form of a self-contained structural unit separate from the bubble mat and is provided with inlet connecting means for the aerator tube and with outlet connecting means in the form of connector studs equal in number as there are partial sections of the bubble mat. The distributor with the control switch thereon forms an insertable unit which is installed in a receptacle provided in the bubble mat, whereby connector studs are directly plugged into sockets provided in the receptacle and in communication to the partial sections of the bubble mat. The distributor/control switch unit constitutes an easily exchangeable, inexpensive replacement part.

  • Patent number: 4599997
Abstract: A massage apparatus having a vibratory massage plate, the vibratory motion of which is derived from a drive unit rotated by an electric motor and an insertable portion of a drive shaft in operative engagement with the drive unit. In order to perform underwater massage in addition to dry vibration massage, the invention provides for a container having a drive shaft rotatably mounted in its bottom portion. The drive shaft has an impeller or the like mounted thereon inside the container and has an insertable portion on the shaft projecting from the underside of the container bottom. The massage plate has an opening in the area of the drive unit to receive the insertable portion of the drive shaft, and on insertion of the insertable portion of the drive into a receptacle of the drive unit, an operative engagement between the insertable portion of the drive shaft and the drive unit is established.
