  • Publication number: 20080260518
Abstract: A Holweck vacuum pump includes a pump rotor (16) having a rotating tube (24), a respective pump stator (12,14) comprising a helical thread groove (21,23) on the radial inside and outside of said rotor tube (24), and an inlet-side rotor blade disk (28) provided with a supporting ring (30) which supports said rotor tube (24). The blades (18) of said blade disk include rotor-side shoulders (40) which support the supporting ring (30).

  • Publication number: 20050220606
Abstract: A one-piece rotor (1) for a drag vacuum pump (21) is designed, at least in sections, as a turbomolecular vacuum pump with rotor blades (5) and stator blades (9), The rotor (1) has a hub (2) whose peripheral surface supports the pump structures. The rotor-side pump structures include, at least in sections, blades (5), which are arranged in rows (4) and which are formed from the surface of a blank by means of metal cutting operations. The metal cutting operations include producing radial peripheral grooves (3) into which stator blade rows (9) engage when the pump is assembled. In order to simplify the machining of the rotor (1), another metal cutting operation provides the outer surface of the blank with one or more thread grooves (13).

  • Patent number: 6910861
Abstract: A turbomolecular vacuum pump (1) has an inlet (3) and an outlet (4) and rotor and stator vanes (5 and 6), situated between the inlet and outlet. The rotor vanes (6) have front sides (11) and rear sides (12) in relation to the direction of rotation. At least a part of the rotor vanes (6) have a rear side (12) which is convex on the suction-side and concave on the delivery side. Alternately, at least part of the rotor vanes (6) have a front side (11), which is concave on the suction side and convex on the delivery side.

  • Publication number: 20040037695
Abstract: Turbomolecular vacuum pump (1) with an inlet (3) and an outlet (4) and rotor and stator vanes (5 and 6), situated between the inlet and outlet, whereby the rotor vanes (6) have front sides (11) and rear sides (12) in relation to the direction of rotation thereof; according to the invention, the pumping properties of the pump may be improved, whereby at least a part of the rotor vanes (6) comprises a rear side (12), convex on the suction-side and concave on the delivery side, or that at least part of the rotor vanes (6) comprises a front side (11), which is concave on the suction side and convex on the delivery side.
