  • Patent number: 7726061
Abstract: A dual beam laser aiming module for a firearm has a dual-laser alignment housing with a first IR laser assembly in a first cavity and that provides a first beam axis. A second visible laser assembly is adjustably located in a second cavity to provide a second beam having an axis parallel to the first beam axis. A housing for the dual-laser alignment housing is adapted to be fixed to the firearm. The dual-laser alignment housing has a rounded exterior surface that interfaces with a corresponding rounded surface in the interior of the cavity of the laser housing. The dual-laser alignment housing is adjustably pivoted with respect to the laser housing with a four-point laser alignment mechanism to align the parallel first and second axes further in parallel to a centerline of a barrel of the firearm.

  • Patent number: 6295753
Abstract: A laser precision bore sight assembly and method aligns a laser beam along the longitudinal axis of a gun barrel. At the proximate end of an elongated bore shaft is rotatably mounted a compressible barrel insert with a continuous outer surface which resiliently engages the inside wall of the gun barrel to coaxially align the longitudinal axis of the proximate end of the shaft with the longitudinal axis of the gun barrel. The exterior surface of an alignment cone is provided on the distal end of the bore shaft. A battery/switch housing, containing a switch assembly, cooperates with a laser housing assembly to provide an enclosure for a battery. A laser source in the laser housing assembly provides a laser beam in a direction coaxial with the longitudinal axis of the shaft. Matching threads provide for relative longitudinal movement such that a terminal of the battery engages the switch assembly to activate the laser source.

  • Patent number: 6183106
Abstract: A flashlight bulb is mounted to a cylindrical bulb chassis such that the base of the light bulb is spaced apart from the top surface of the bulb chassis. A layer of resilient silicone material is positioned in the clearance space between the space-dapart base of the light bulb and the front surface of the bulb chassis to provide cushioning for axial and radial movement of the light bulb. A heat resistant resilient O-ring is inserted in an enlarged rear portion of the central bore of a reflector housing such that the internal surface of the O-ring slip fits around the cylindrical body of the light bulb to cushion the light bulb for radial movements of the light bulb and so that the light bulb remains mechanically and optically aligned with the central axis. For good cushioning the durometer of the O-ring is between 60-70 and the durometer of the silicone layer is between 50-60.

  • Patent number: 5758448
Abstract: A mounting system attaches directly to a square or round trigger guard of a firearm. A separate trigger guard mount assembly includes a base having a groove formed therein for receiving a forward portion of a trigger guard of the firearm. A trigger guard mount clamp for attaches the trigger guard mount base to the forward portion of a trigger guard. A screw-operated clamp removably attaches a light housing assembly to the trigger guard mount assembly where the light housing contains a laser light source or a light bulb. A dovetail is formed on the trigger guard mount base to engage a dovetailed slot on the light housing, where the dovetailed slot is adjustable in width for releasably capturing the dovetail of the trigger guard mount base. The trigger guard mount assembly also includes set screws for fixing the trigger guard mount assembly in position on the forward portion of the trigger guard of the firearm. One or more shims are contained within the groove of the trigger guard mounting assembly.
