  • Patent number: 7281395
Abstract: The gob distributor for a glass forming machine has at least one scoop channel which can be pivoted in a reciprocating manner about a vertical axis. A lower end of each scoop channel can be successively orientated, by the pivoting motion, so as to be aligned with a channel system leading to the respective section. An annular pinion is disposed coaxially with an upper end of each scoop channel. A drive has an electric servomotor which is connected to the at least one annular pinion via a gear mechanism. The gear mechanism includes a screw which can be rotationally driven in a reciprocating manner by the electric servomotor, a worm wheel engaged with the screw, and a toothed wheel which is non-rotational and coaxial with respect to the worm wheel. The toothed wheel is in a driving connection with the at least one annular pinion by means of intermediate wheels.

  • Publication number: 20050022559
Abstract: The gob distributor (1) for a plurality of sections of a glass forming machine has at least one scoop channel which can be pivoted in a reciprocating manner about a vertical axis. A lower end of each scoop channel can be successively orientated, by the pivoting motion, so as to be aligned with a channel system leading to the respective section. An annular pinion (58, 59, 60) is disposed coaxially and in a driving connection with an upper end of each scoop channel. A drive has an electric servomotor which is connected to the at least one annular pinion (58, 59, 60) via a gear mechanism. The gear mechanism comprises: A screw (44) which can be rotationally driven in a reciprocating manner by the electric servomotor, a worm wheel engaged with the screw (44), and a toothed wheel (53) which is non-rotational and coaxial with respect to the worm wheel. The toothed wheel (53) is in a driving connection with the at least one annular pinion (58, 59, 60) by means of intermediate wheels (54, 55).

  • Patent number: 6684665
Abstract: Device for driving two mold half holders of a glass molding machine On a glass molding machine (5) holders (2; 3) are pivotally mounted about an axis (4). Each holder (2; 3) has mold tool halves (6; 7). A first joint bar (10) is articulated at a first articulation point (9) of each holder (2; 3). A second joint bar (12) is articulated at a second articulation point (11) of the first joint bar (10), which second joint bar is articulated for its part at a third articulation point (13) of the glass molding machine (5). A rod (14) is also articulated at the second articulation point (11) and is articulated with its other end at a crank pin (15) of a crank (16). Each of the two cranks (16) is coaxially connected to a toothed wheel (17; 18). The toothed wheels (17; 18) are in engagement with a worm (21) on diametrically opposite sides, which worm can be rotationally driven in a reciprocating manner by an electric servomotor (29) via a gear mechanism (30).

  • Patent number: 5735926
Abstract: The apparatus comprises at least one plunger (2) and a plunger holder (3) which can be raised and lowered. An arm (18) of a tilt lever (17) is coupled to the plunger holder (3). A link member (22) of a drive system (23) cooperates with the other arm (20) of the tilt lever. The link member (22) is adjustable along said other arm (20) in order to change the stroke of the plunger. The drive system (23) comprises an electric servodrive with a take-off shaft (13), the drive being connected to the link member (22) and being controllable by electronic control means. The link member (22) is arranged on a tie rod (26) which at one free end is coupled (28) to a pivot lever (27) which is mounted fixedly in relation to the apparatus. At a central coupling point (30) of the pivot lever (27) is coupled a push rod (32) whose other end is coupled to a crank (14) of the take-off shaft (13).

  • Patent number: 5501316
Abstract: Containers (2) arrive on a first conveyor belt (3) at comparatively large initial spacings (8) from one another and at comparatively high speed in a first direction of movement (4). The containers (2) are routed on a continuously curved path (11) into a second direction of movement (5) onto a second conveyor belt (6). Between the conveyor belts (3, 6) is arranged an intermediate belt (14) whose upper run (15) is driven in a third direction of movement (16) with a lower speed than the first conveyor belt (3). The second conveyor belt (6) likewise runs at lower speed than the first conveyor belt (3), so that finally a comparatively small second gap (7) results between the containers (2). A drive member (10) carries on the one hand transportation fingers (9) which engage between successive containers (2), and on the other hand stopping members (13) of a support device (12) with which the containers ( 2) are kept in continuous contact up to their delivery on to the second conveyor belt (6).
