    Abstract: The present invention relates to new macroemulsions which contain0.001 to 60 percent by weight of at least one active compound from the class comprising the phosphates and/or carbamates,0 to 50 percent by weight of aromatic diluents,0.001 to 20 percent by weight of polyvinyl alcohol having a mean molecular weight of between 5,000 and 150,000 and a content of acetate groups of between 2 and 30 mol %, and/or0.001 to 20 percent by weight of a nonlphenol/propylene oxide/ethylene oxide adduct of the formula ##STR1## in which X represents integers from 10 to 50 andY represents integers from 15 to 65,and/or0.001 to 20 percent by weight of ethylene oxide/propylene oxide/ethylene oxide block copolymers having a mean molecular weight of between 2,000 and 8,000 and HLB values of between 8 and 30,and water and, if appropriate, additives, andin which the oil phase is dispersed in the aqueous phase in the form of droplets having a mean particle diameter of 0.1 to 3.0 .mu.m.

    Abstract: A macroemulsion which is stable to separation and crystallization over a wide range of temperature is disclosed. These macroemulsions contain:0.0001 to 30% by weight of at least one solid pyrethroid,0.0005 to 50% by weight of an aromatic diluent,0.0001 to 15% by weight of polyvinyl alcohol having a mean molecular weight of between 5,000 and 60,000 and a content of acetate groups of between 2 and 30 mol %, if appropriate as a mixture with polyvinyl alcohol having a mean molecular weight of between 70,000 and 150,000 and a content of acetate groups of between 2 and 30 mol %,and water and acid and, if appropriate, further additives in which the oil phase is dispersed in the aqueous phase in the form of droplets having a mean particle diameter of 0.1 to 3.0 .mu.m.

    Abstract: The drifting tendency of agricultural chemical spraying liquids, particularly aqueous spraying liquids, is reduced by adding thereto as a foaming agent an amine salt of a p-alkylbenzenesulfonic acid of the general formula ##STR1## in which R is alkyl of from 8 to 16 carbon atoms,R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 (which may be the same or different) are hydrogen, alkyl, or hydroxyalkyl of from 1 to 6 carbon atoms, andR.sup.3 is alkyl or hydroxyalkyl of from 1 to 6 carbon atoms.
