Abstract: A method for producing a multi-ply web of flexible material, such as paper and nonwoven material. At least one first ply is separately embossed by a first embossing means to form a plurality of crests and depressions and is combined with at least one second ply. After combining the first and second plies, they are brought into a nip between a spiked roll and a smooth rigid roll, the spiked roll having a plurality of protuberances which are adapted to press together the first and second plies in points or spots to cause a mechanical ply bonding between the at least two plies. The first embossing means and the spiked roll are in register with each other so that the protuberances of the spiked roll will hit at least some of the depressions of the ply facing the spiked roll. The invention also refers to a multi-ply web produced by the method.

Abstract: A multi-ply tissue paper product (10) and a method for producing same, wherein multi-ply tissue paper includes at least three embossed plies (12, 14, 16) of paper, and a first outer ply (12) has a first microstructure pattern (18) with first protuberances with a density of more than 40 protuberances/cm2. The second outer ply (14) is provided with a second microstructure pattern (22) also having a density of second protuberances of more than 40 protuberances/cm2. A middle ply (16) is sandwiched between the first outer ply (12) and the second outer ply (14) and has a third structure pattern being an embossing pattern with a density of less than 40 protuberances/cm2. All three plies are ply bonded (24) together after the first outer ply, the second outer ply and the middle ply have been structured separately.

Abstract: A fibrous web product having at least two outer plies (13,14) of fibrous web material and an inner material layer (15) interposed between the outer plies. The inner material layer includes a bulky absorbent material. The inner material layer (15) is disposed in at discrete spaced apart areas between the outer fibrous web material plies (13,14). The outer plies are provided with perforations (11) or alternatively are cut between the spaced apart areas containing the inner material layer (15), where the perforations or cuts define individual web sections (12) and are provided in areas which are substantially free from the inner material layer (15).

Abstract: The invention relates to a packaging wrapper, particularly for paper handkerchiefs. This packaging wrapper is characterized in that only the material (6, 7) overlapping in the edge areas of the upper side (O) is bonded together by heat effect. In the remaining area, there is, on the inner side of the flap (5), a pressure-sensitive adhesive which sticks to the extension (2) of the front side (V), when the opening for removing the contents is closed. As a result of this, the flap, when closed, lies almost completely on the upper side of the packaging wrapper, and the bonding does not spoil the appearance of the upper side of the packaging wrapper.
