  • Patent number: 5242331
Abstract: The V-belt drive has a V-belt (R), revolving endlessly around a drive pulley (A) and at least one driven pulley (C) and a back chucking roller (D) is associated with the V-belt on the slack side (R1). The back chucking roller (D) is preceded in the belt travel direction (RL) by a profiled idler pulley (E), and both rollers (D, E) form a clamping unit (SE) that is subjected to clamping force action and acts near the driven pulley (C). In every position of the clamping unit (SE) the entry and exit point (G1 and G2, respectively) of the V-belt (R) at the profiled idler pulley (E) are located before, in the belt travel direction (RL), or at best coincide with the entry point (K1 and K2, respectively) of the back chucking roller (D).

  • Patent number: 4640356
Abstract: A process for the enhanced oil recovery of underground mineral oil deposits, in which one or more substances which are scarcely water- and oil-soluble at deposit temperature but are well soluble or volatile in the hot flooding medium and whose melting point lies above the deposit temperature, are added to the flooding medium hot water and/or steam. They move with the hot flooding medium through the deposit and precipitate as a solid preferably at that part of the temperature front which is advancing fastest, thereby constricting the pores of the deposit temporarily and reversibly, until the solid is dissolved or evaporated again by repeated flow of the hot flooding medium, which has the overall effect of an areal and vertical equalization of the temperature front.

  • Patent number: 4438786
Abstract: A knife construction for a double-lift open-shed Jacquard loom includes two knife boxes which are movable in opposite directions past each other. The knives of each knife box consist of a carrier member having hook plates fastened thereto and provided with spaced control hooks. Lifter members formed as flat bars controlled by main needles arranged transverse to the knives each include two main noses engageable with the control hooks of the movable knives and a holding-up nose engageable with a stationary upper-shed knife. The formation of the control hooks and the main noses in the control direction of the main needles permits movement of the lifters intermediate the control hooks of a knife.

  • Patent number: 4291730
Abstract: A double-lift open-shed jacquard machine with two lifting bars which are movable in opposite directions to each other and which pass each other, and with lifters controllable by main needles, the latter being arranged transverse to the knives of the lifting bars, which lifters have two main projections associated with the movable knives and one holding-up projection associated with a fixed upper-shed knife. The movable knives are made of a carrier part and hook plates fastened thereto with control hooks, the latter being bent off in the direction towards the main projections of the lifters and being arranged spaced apart from each other. The shaping of the hook plates and their control hooks permits in the control direction of the main needles a passage of the lifters up into a plane lying between the control hooks of a knife, and the shank of the lifters has a flat rectangular cross-section, whose greater bending moment lies in the control direction of the main needles.

  • Patent number: 4165053
Abstract: A cable drum for the automatic rewinding of a cable in which two separate winding areas are located on a shaft loaded with the force of a restoring spring. The cable is fixed by a slot in the winding areas in a disc-shaped separating wall which is common to the winding areas. The shaft is perpendicular to a rotary disc or bushing of a two-part spring housing and engages the rotary disc or bushing in a form-locked manner. The shaft is held in a bearing of a stationary part of the spring housing. This stationary part holds feed-out guides for the two ends of the cable. The stationary part of the spring housing, furthermore, is expanded to form a cylindrical wall which bounds the winding areas on a side and partially extending over the cable drum discs fixed on the shaft. A cover is detachably fastened on this cylindrical wall and extends over the remaining portion of the cable drum discs.
