  • Patent number: 5762356
Abstract: The invention relates to a wheelchair having a frame, a seat, a backrest, wheels and attachments fixed to the frame, characterized in that colored cladding parts can be detachably fixed, particularly by plug or clamp connections, to substantially any part or component of the wheelchair. This makes it possible in a simple and inexpensive manner to bring about a variable color design for the overall wheelchair. The cladding parts are preferably constructed as flat plastic parts which can be locked by means of projections formed in or on the cladding parts into corresponding recesses in the wheelchair or can be slid into longitudinal grooves in the frame of the wheelchair.

  • Patent number: 5743545
Abstract: A wheelchair with two facing, interconnected, adjustable sideframes having fit thereto a seat, backrest, driving wheels and guide wheels is described. The wheelchair is characterized in that each sideframe has two rigid frame parts, which are adjustably interconnected in the longitudinal direction of the wheelchair by elongated frame sections. On one rigid frame part of each sideframe can be fit one of the driving wheels and on the other rigid frame part of each sideframe one of the guide wheels. The wheelchair frame is readily longitudinally adjustable. Simultaneously with the adjustment of the seat position, there is an adjustment of the wheels so that an optimum weight distribution over the wheelchair wheels is maintained. The frame has an extremely high rigidity.

  • Patent number: 4944743
Abstract: An implantable fixation device comprises a support bar (1) having right-hand threads on the one end and left-hand threads on the opposite end, and having jaw supports (5, 6) threadingly mounted on the respective threaded ends. The jaw supports have secured thereto bolt jaws by means of a respective clamping screw (7), which bolt jaws are (adapted to be) fixed to intact vertebral bodies of the spiral column by means of bone (screw) bolts (13). Further, the bolt jaws are provided with receiving holes (16) permitting the insertion of rod-shaped repositioning instruments (17). By means of this structure, setting of the vertebral elements or segments is possible irrespective of the length of the bone bolts. The repositioning rods (17) can be easily removed; subsequent shortening of the bone bolts (17) is not necessary.

  • Patent number: 4786934
Abstract: A photographic camera having an interchangeable lens and an automatic exposure control and focusing device comprising a computing circuit for the determination of the front and rear depth-of-field planes. The computing circuit is connected to a data memory on the camera side, a control unit, an autofocus central unit and an exposure control device. At a given stored sharpness and open aperture, the front and rear depth-of-field planes are automatically controlled by means of a setting element and can be assessed in the viewfinder. A predetermined depth-of-field range can be set and the required aperture can be displayed in the viewfinder and set, if this aperture is present on the interchangeable lens. The controlled depth-of-field planes remain visible in the viewfinder for a predetermined period of time.
