Abstract: Photographic processing chemicals in solid form containing the necessary active ingredients and auxiliary substances and in addition at least one compound corresponding to formula (I)HO--R--O.sub.n H (I)whereinR denotes C.sub.2 -C.sub.4 -alkyl andn denotes 1-200or at least one compound corresponding to the following formulaR.sub.1 --OH (II)whereinR.sub.1 denotes C.sub.10 --C.sub.18 -alkylor at least one water-soluble polymer, e.g. selected from polystyrene sulphonic acid and polyvinyl alcohol, or a mixture of at least two of the above mentioned compounds in a quantity of from 0.5 to 100 g/kg of solid substance are dust free or relatively dust free.

Abstract: A readily biodegradable bleaching bath having an adequate bleaching effect(1) contains an iron(III) complex salt in which at least 20 mol-% and preferably at least 80 mol-% of the complexing agent corresponds to formula (I) ##STR1## in which R.sub.1 is hydrogen or hydroxy,n is 1 or 2,x is 2 or 3 andy is 0 or 1and the sum of x and y is always 3, and(2) an excess of free complexing agent of 1 to 120 mol-% and preferably 5 to 20 mol-%, based on the iron complex or the iron complex salt, and(3) is adjusted to a pH value of .ltoreq.4.5.

Abstract: The process for bleach fixing an exposed and developed color photographic material whose silver halide emulsion layers contain silver chlorobromide emulsions having a silver bromide content of from 0.3 to 2.0 mol%, in which the bleach fixing bath (1) contains, as bleaching agent, an iron(III) complex at least 50 mol% of whose complex former corresponds to the following formula ##STR1## (2) is adjusted to a pH of x where 7.0>.times.>4.5 and (3) contains a thiosulphateis distinguished by a powerful bleaching action and great environmental compatibility.

Abstract: Photographic processing chemicals in the form of granulates having an average particle diameter of from 150 to 3000 .mu.m containing a polymer having a molar mass of from 6,000,000 to 14,000,000 in a quantity from 1 to 1,000 mg/kg of granulate consisting of at least 80 mol % of one or more of the monomers, acrylamide, acrylic acid and cationic monomer or mixtures of acrylamide and cationic or anionic monomer are distinguished by being easy to prepare, dust free and freely pourable.

Abstract: A process for processing a color photography silver halide recording material by development, bleach-fixing and stabilization or washing, wherein the silver halide emulsion layers of the photographic material have a chloride content of at least 80 mol %, the total processing time is not more than 60 seconds, the concentration of halide in the developing bath in the use state does not exceed 10.sup.-2 mol/l, the chloride content of the halide in the developing bath being at least 80 mol %, and the processing baths are replenished during continuous operation, provides results of good quality such as are otherwise obtained only by processing over a total period of at least 180 seconds.

Abstract: A new process for maintaining the properties of the developer in the preparation of colored images by development of exposed silver halide-containing material at an alkaline pH in a developer bath containing p-phenylenediamine derivative and at least 40 mol-% of the silver halide consisting of silver chloride and replenishing the color developer in the bath in such a limited quantity that no overflow occurs but it is sufficient to make up for the loss of bath constituents.This process preserves the sensitive results from development during use of the developer bath.

Abstract: A processing method without washing gives good photographic properties, without a precipitate being deposited in the stabilizing bath, when the bleach-fixing bath contains a compound of the formulaFe(X).sub.2 DTPA,whereinX denotes alkali or ammonium,as bleaching agent, and the stabilizing bath contains a fungicide, HEDP and a hexametaphosphate.

Abstract: Excellent image silver stability is obtained without intermediate washing after fixing and without a special finishing bath by a process for stabilizing a silver image produced by exposure, development and fixing of a photographic material containing at least one silver halide emulsion layer, in which, immediately after fixing, the photographic material is subjected to treatment by a stabilizing bath containing a compound corresponding to general formula (I) ##STR1## in which X=Cl, BrR.sup.1 =H, C.sub.1-4 alkyl, C.sub.6-10 aryl,R.sup.2 =CHO, COOH, COONa, CH.sub.2 COOH, CH.sub.2 COONa, CONR.sub.2.sup.3, CONHR.sup.3,R.sup.3 =H, C.sub.1-2 alkyl,and a compound corresponding to formula II ##STR2## and/or to formula III ##STR3## in which R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 may be the same or different and represent H, --NH.sub.2, alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, alkoxy, alkylthio, alkylsulfonyl, sulfamoyl, acyl, --SH or a heterocyclic group.

Abstract: In the case of color materials with the usual processing times, bleaching and bleaching/fixing baths containing an iron(III) ion complex salt as bleach and, in addition, a 5- to 7-membered heterocyclic compound containing at least one N-atom and at least one other hetero atom from the group consisting of O,S,N which is substituted by --S.sup..crclbar. and, at a quaternary ring nitrogen atom, carries a positive charge arranged in such a way that no tautomeric charge compensation to a neutral thione form is possible, provide for good bleaching, i.e. for black areas free from residual silver in the case of color negative materials and for low minimum densities in the case of color reversal materials, by virtue of their excellent bleaching rate and, at the same time, their high stability.

Abstract: In a process for the processing of color photographic silver halide material which has been exposed to form an image by development, bleachfixing, washing or stabilization and drying, the aqueous developer solution being free from benzyl alcohol, the pH value of the bleachfixing solution, which contains an iron(III) complex salt, being below 7 and the bleachfixing solution containing a compound corresponding to general formula (I) ##STR1## in which Z represents the atoms required to complete an optionally further substituted heterocyclic ring andR.sup.1 represents hydrogen or an alkali atom,and a coupler containing an activated methylene group, in which a hydrogen atom is replaced by alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl or aralkyl and reacts with the oxidation product of the color developer to form colorless reaction products, bleaching can be carried out free from residual silver with a low regeneration level of the bleachfixing bath without any water-insoluble precipitates being formed.

Abstract: In a process for the production of photographic images exposed photographic materials are treated with a developer having an enhanced bromide ion concentration which is kept constant for the duration of the use of the developer. The advantage of the process is based on the technically uncomplicated regenerability of the developer.

Abstract: The condition of a photographic copying and associated developing machine for prints of color photographic negatives is evaluated by exposing a calibrating sample onto a first portion and by making a test exposure with preselected exposure data onto a second portion of photographic paper in the copying machine. The two portions of photographic paper are then developed in the developing machine, and the thus obtained developed prints are monitored in the copying machine by comparing their densities in various colors with preselected reference densities. The results of comparison are indicative whether the machines operate satisfactorily, whether the copying machine requires one or more adjustments, or whether the developing machine is in need of at least one adjustment. The adjustment or adjustments can be effected automatically or upon examination of the results of comparison by an attendant.

Abstract: Color images are obtained by chromogenic development of a colorphotographic material comprising several differently spectrally sensitized silver halide emulsions and color couplers associated thereto, a hydrophobic cyan coupler being incorporated by means of a hydrophobic coupler solvent and a hydrophobic yellow coupler being incorporated without a coupler solvent, when a color developing composition is used comprising a hydrophilic and a hydrophobic color developer compound. The color images have good stability of the cyan partial image to tropical conditions and good lightfastness of the yellow partial image.
