  • Publication number: 20040045573
Abstract: A hair curler (1) includes a supporting element (2) having a generally hollow design. The supporting element (2) includes a middle portion (3) and two end portions (4). The middle portion (3) forms a winding surface to support wound up hair. The first and second fixing portions (4) each include a majority of fixing elements (6) protruding from the fixing portion (4) in a radial direction to attach the hair curler (1) to a head (8). The diameters (14) of the first and second fixing portion (4) are approximately identical. The diameters (14) of the first and second fixing portion (4) are substantially greater than the diameter (12) of the middle portion (3) such that the wound up hair (10) is only located in the region of the middle portion (3), and the hair curler (1) may be securely connected to the head (8).

  • Publication number: 20020129830
Abstract: A hair curler (1) for waving hair includes a hollow supporting body (2). The cross section diminishes from the first end (3) over the axial length towards the second end (4). An enlarged element (6) has a cross section being more than the cross section of the second end (4), it is located in the region of the second end (4) and it is designed and arranged to prevent hair from slipping off the hair curler (1). A fixing device (8) is designed and arranged to fix the supporting body (2) in the region of the base of the hair. A hook band (7) is located on the circumference of the supporting body (2). The hook band (7) at least covers a portion of the circumference of the supporting body (2). The portion approximately extends from the region of the first end (3) in the direction of the axial length of the supporting body (2). The supporting body (2) at least in the portion being covered by the hook band (7) has an approximately oval cross section.

  • Wig
    Patent number: 5010914
Abstract: A hair-piece includes a support member (10) for hair shaped like the calotte of the head and including a basket-like configuration made of rods (12, 13) radiating from a crown area. The adjacent pairs of rods define an intermediate space (14) which each extend continuously and uninterruptedly from the crown area. The outer surfaces of the rods (12, 13) are covered with hair.

  • Patent number: 4391047
Abstract: An attachment formed of a flexible material is provided for use with a hair dryer having an air discharge nozzle, the attachment being expandable in use from a collapsed position to an expanded shape. It comprises an imperforate funnel-shaped wall portion open at both ends, the small end being connectable to the air discharge nozzle. An outer end wall provided with outlet openings extends across the larger end of the funnel-shaped wall portion and is connectable thereto. Flexible strips situated within the funnel-shaped wall portion connect the central portion of the outer end wall to the small end of the funnel-shaped wall portion and serve to maintain the outer end wall in its expanded shape during use.
