  • Publication number: 20200171240
Abstract: An implantable, gas pressure-operated infusion pump includes a throttle portion, a controllable valve upstream or downstream of the throttle portion, and a controller that controls the opening duration and/or opening frequency of the valve. A method for operating the infusion pump includes determining a standard volume of a standard infusate dispensed by the infusion pump within a pre-determined time period and determining an infusate volume of an infusate, having a different composition than the standard infusate, dispensed by the infusion pump within the pre-determined time period. The method further includes operating the infusion pump together with the infusate at an opening duration and/or opening frequency of the valve that is reduced or increased compared with operating the infusion pump together with the standard infusate in order to dispense a volume of infusate substantially the same as the standard volume.

  • Patent number: 8678794
Abstract: The invention concerns a refrigerant compressor arrangement (1) with a housing (2, 3) comprising a suction opening (5), a compressor (15), which is arranged in the housing (2, 3), and is connected to the suction opening (5), and a suction connection (20) that is fixed at the housing (2, 3), and comprises a housing section (21) and a tube section (22), the housing section (21) being connected to the suction opening (5) and the diameter of the tube section (22) being different from the diameter of the housing section (21). With such a refrigerant compressor arrangement, it is endeavoured to keep the dimensions small. For this purpose, in the longitudinal direction of the suction connection (20) the housing section (21) and the tube section (22) overlap each other and are connected to each other by a corrugated area (23) with at least one radial corrugation.

  • Patent number: 8596187
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of calibrating a connecting rod arrangement comprising a crankshaft eye and a connecting rod eye. In order to achieve the best possible parallelism between the connecting rod eye and the crankshaft eye a controlled energy input occurs in at least one predefined surface area of the connecting rod, so that outside a neutral axis a local structural change and thus a tension in the connecting rod occurs.

  • Publication number: 20110189010
Abstract: The invention concerns a method of mounting a compressor block on a front side of a stator of an electric motor that comprises a stator bore and a stator axis, a support face arrangement of the compressor block being mounted on a contact area of the stator front side and the compressor block being connected to the stator. It is endeavoured to manufacture a compressor arrangement with a high efficiency. For this purpose, before mounting the compressor block (2) on the contact area (21, 22), the stator (4) is acted upon with a clamping force corresponding to a mounting force, a spatial deviation of the contact area (21, 22) from a plane, to which the stator axis (17) is perpendicular, is determined, the support face arrangement is machined so that the deviation is compensated, and the compressor block (2) is connected to the stator (4).

  • Patent number: 7822582
Abstract: A method and system determines a location of a conversion device for converting wind energy into electrical energy by considering both technical and economic viability factors. One or more qualified wind data regions are established within a geographic area. Each qualified wind data region meets or exceeds a wind velocity criteria over a requisite time period. Distribution accessible zones are established where a desired range of electrical energy is distributable via existing distribution infrastructure. Candidate regions are determined based on the overlap of the regions and the zones. Land data is obtained and is associated with the candidate region. The land data may comprise at least one of a land use and a holder of an interest in real property associated with the candidate region. A selector selects a preferential region, for placement of a conversion device, from the candidate regions based on a land data.
