  • Patent number: 11820606
Abstract: A mechanism (300) for transferring coil springs from a coil winding device (110) to a conveyor belt (210) of a pocketed coil assembly machine comprises a magnetic lift platform (310) for engaging a coil spring (10?) before being released at an output of the coil winding device (110). Further, the mechanism comprises a drive mechanism (315) for moving the lift platform (310) between the output of the coil winding device (110) and the conveyor belt (210).

  • Patent number: 4239952
Abstract: An arrangement for connecting the terminals of the pulse generator of an EDM apparatus across an electrode wire and an electrode workpiece for effecting a cut applied in the machining zone between the electrode wire and the electrode workpiece. The machining current pulses are fed across the machining zone through a pair of sliding contacts, a capacitor being connected across the sliding contacts. One of the sliding contacts is engaged with the electrode wire and the other is connected to the workpiece. The capacitor is alternatively charged by the pulse generator and discharged through a low inductance circuit, thus providing in the machining zone current pulses each of short duration and having a sharp and steep leading edge.

  • Patent number: 4228089
Abstract: A method for separating components of a substance, for example, a fatty acid ester such as palm oil, by dissolving the substance in a solvent. The resultant solution is circulated and cooled in a circuit with crystals being formed in the solution as the temperature is lowered. The crystals are continuously separated from the circulating solution during the crystal separation phase of the process. The crystals are then preferably washed and recovered. Preferably there is a second crystallization phase in the process. The invention includes the apparatus used to carry out the process and, particularly, novel fractionating columns and filter surfaces within said columns used in the preferred embodiments of the process.

  • Patent number: 4090961
Abstract: A process and apparatus for monitoring the efficiency of an EDM machine by providing an electrical magnitude or signal representing the current flow actually used for machining or, in the alternative, the actual material removal rate. Several circuits are disclosed permitting to provide the operator of an EDM machine with a visual display of the practical efficiency of the machine during a machining operation.

  • Patent number: 3943321
Abstract: An electro-erosion process and apparatus for improving the rate of material removal from a workpiece and for decreasing the rate of wear of the electrode tool in an electrical discharge machining apparatus, by controlling the average value of the machining current across the machining gap between the electrode tool and the workpiece by providing cut-off time intervals between consecutive pulse trains at a frequency of at least 200 Hz, and by controllably varying at least one of the parameters of operation consisting of the number of the pulses included within a single pulse train, the duration of application of said pulses within a single pulse train, and at least the longest of the intervals of time comprised between two consecutive voltage pulses.
