Patent number: 5735591Abstract: A headlight-light unit for a vehicle comprises a headlight having a headlight housing with a headlight outlet opening and a headlight cover member covering the headlight outlet opening, a light adjoining the headlight and having a light housing with a light outlet opening and a light cover member closing the light outlet opening. The headlight cover member and the light cover member are formed as a single cover element, a frame-like element connecting the cover element with the headlight housing and having a portion which extends outwardly beyond the headlight housing and forms the light housing.Type: GrantFiled: February 12, 1996Date of Patent: April 7, 1998Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbHInventor: Heinz Ruckwied

Patent number: 4893218Abstract: A reflector, made from a thermosetting plastic, has three tightening faces on its crown neck that act as a catch, into which three protrusions, such as pawls, dig in a thread-like manner with teeth of the ring. As a result, the ring secures an incandescent bulb in the reflector. By means of this unilaterally acting friction catch, lateral slides, in particular, become unnecessary on an injection holder of the reflector, which is a considerable advantage in the processing of thermosetting plastics.Type: GrantFiled: June 13, 1988Date of Patent: January 9, 1990Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbHInventors: Gerhard Dilk, Rolf Klaiber, Kurt Kreschel, Wolfgang Krieg, Heinz Ruckwied, Gerhard Ulrich
