  • Publication number: 20120195539
Abstract: A ring-shaped metal rolling bearing cage, which has cage pockets for receiving rolling elements. The cage is formed by a first and a second cage segment. Adjoining ends of the cage segments are connected to one another by suitable connection assemblies. At least one of the assemblies permits a change of the cage diameter when the cage temperature changes. The suitable assembly, on one side, is configured as a joint mechanism and, on another side, as a locking mechanism, and at least one of the assemblies has a lash. A rolling bearing cage configured with the joint mechanism and the locking mechanism can be mounted with low time expenditure in a simple and reliable manner over a shaft, particularly in the case of an idler pinion mourning.

  • Patent number: 7156023
Abstract: When an ignition system is installed, the spatial position of an ignition device (5a to 5g) in relation to the surrounding, its geographical position, is as yet not determined. The user is required to exercise extreme caution in order to ensure that the ignition devices (5a to 5g) connect to the ignition system (1) in accordance with a predetermined blasting plan. A specially trained person must therefore systematically carry out the sequential connection (compulsory sequence) of each ignition device (5a to 5g) to the bus line (3) of the ignition system. i.e. logging. The person connecting the ignition devices must execute the ignition of device programming operation in all kinds of conditions, in open country, with utmost caution. This represents a considerable time delay for a blast. If one ignition device is overlooked during logging, the already entered data have to be reprogrammed, which costs time.

  • Patent number: 6781813
Abstract: An electronic releasing device for pyrotechnic igniters has a primary and a secondary charge. The primary charge is ignited by means of a circuit that comprises electronic components and whose essential electronic components are accommodated as an integrated components as an integrated circuit in an IC housing, with the housing being disposed on a printed circuit board. The terminals of the IC housing are provided as connecting points for test instruments for checking the serviceability of the integrated circuit and the igniter function and also serve for connection to external electronic devices for programming the releasing device.

  • Patent number: 6655289
Abstract: The invention relates to trigger units for initiating pyrotechnic elements which usually consist of a switch and control unit, ignition means and an ignition charge body. Said switch and control element is triggered by way of an electric coupling via a line in order to initiate ignition. The line for the electric coupling and the dimensions of the switch and control element which are usually accommodated in an IC housing complicate the design and the automatic assembly of the trigger units. According to the invention, the switch and control element (1) is surrounded by a first shell (2). Said first shell (2) is connected to a second shell (1) which contains the ignition charge body (23). The invention is further characterized in that the ignition means (19) dip into said second shell (21).

  • Patent number: 6637339
Abstract: Effects of capacitive resistances on the transmission of data between electronic igniters of an ignition system and a device for programming and triggering igniters are avoided by the disclosed method. Prior to a planned communication of an igniter with the device, a dc voltage is applied to the ignition circuit for a predetermined length of time. This voltage is higher than the voltage provided for generating the signals with which the data are generated. Subsequently, the signals that the igniter transmits in response are produced with a lower voltage than the previously elevated voltage and the dc voltage is increased once again prior to the response to an additional igniter.

  • Patent number: 6320274
Abstract: In order to reduce the battery load, a second elevated onboard electrical system voltage is provided at least for high-current consuming components. The voltage is derived from the battery voltage via a step-up switching regulator (SUSR) or is supplied by a starter-generator (SG) via a converter (CONV) in the generator mode of the starter-generator, which is coupled with an internal combustion engine (ICE) of the vehicle. The step-up switching regulator is used for battery supply of a start capacitor (CAP) and the converter is used for triggering of the starter-generator to start the internal combustion engine.

  • Patent number: 6267510
Abstract: A roller bearing with roller elements constructed as rollers (4) or balls arranged between an inner race (3) and an outer race (5), and with a thick-walled outer ring (6) if provided. The inner surface of the outer ring forms the outer race (5) and the outer surface is provided for direct rolling on a cylindrical matching roller path, and has a crowned contour (7) curved in longitudinal section. In accordance with the invention, the spherical crowned contour (7) of the outer ring (6) is formed from several arcs that pass smooth into one another whereby the radius of curvature of a central arc and the radius of curvature of an outer arc have in a ratio from 2 to 1 up to 5 to 1 in relation to one another.

  • Patent number: 5743146
Abstract: The locking device for locking of two relative to each other longitudinally moveable elements comprises an electromagnet including a magnetic yoke, an operating winding and a magnet armature. The operating winding and magnetic yoke are positionally fixed on the first element, while the magnet armature is fixed on the second element in respect to the longitudinal movement direction X. The magnet armature presses with one of its walls via a spring device against an opposing wall of the magnetic yoke. The walls of the magnet armature and magnetic yoke which lie opposed to each other are provided with an at least approximately form fitting register contour, so that magnet armature and magnetic yoke can be held in a locked position with respect to each other. For locking, the electromagnet is activated in the register position. Upon application of a predetermined amount of force in the longitudinal direction upon the first or second element the locking position can be release or disengaged.
