  • Patent number: 6203588
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of producing a grinding roll in which a roll tire made from a highly wear-resistant bainitic cast material is applied to the basic roll body. In order to create a roll tire with particularly high reliability against fractures and with relatively high wear resistance and compression strength, the roll tire is produced from a ductile bainitic spheroidal graphite cast material having a breaking elongation of approximately 0.1 to 2.5% and a compression strength of approximately 1,000 to 1,800 Mpa.

  • Patent number: 5902685
Abstract: A grinding roll for use in a material bed roll mill for the comminution of brittle material has a cylindrical body in the periphery of which are alternating grooves and lands. To the exterior of each land is secured a wear strip. The grooves of the confronting rolls may be directly opposite one another or the grooves may be offset axially so that the grooves in one roll confront a land of the opposite roll.

  • Patent number: 5860373
Abstract: In a module with tufting tools, especially needles the tufting tools are cast with one end in a plate-shaped base The length of the base corresponds to a multiple of the center distance of the cast-in tufting tools. The base has at least one opening which is in the form of a slot running perpendicular to the locating strip(s), which is open to the upper edge of the base. The base can be of symmetrical design and have a locating strip both at its front and at its rear locating face, serving to precisely position the module on a bar. The module and thus also the tufting tools cast into it can thus be used in two different rotational positions.

  • Patent number: 5312056
Abstract: The invention relates to a roll mill, particularly a material bed roller mill for the comminution of brittle material for grinding, with two grinding rolls which are driven so that they rotate in opposite directions and are pressed against one another at high pressure, each of these grinding rolls having a roll shell of wear-resistant chill cast material with a surface profile. So that the rolls have a particularly good nip capacity and a high wear resistance, profiles in the form of weld beads of wear-resistant deposit welding material are applied to the surface of the chill cast roll shell.

  • Patent number: 4736430
Abstract: To provide for better fitting and pleasing out appearance of a hearing aid having an element introducible into the ear canal of a user, and an externally accessible housing which retains electronic components, a battery, and ON/OFF switch and volume control elements, the housing is formed in spherical or, rather, truncated-spherical shape, removably fitted on a fitting element introduced into the ear canal. This spherical shape is less obtrusive than others, and may be formed similar to costume jewelry.

  • Patent number: 4474847
Abstract: A coated base paper for use in an ink jet recording process exhibits excellent ink solution spreading and wipe resistance. The coating comprises a pigment and/or filler of non-flake structure, and a binding agent dried on the paper. The pigment content is at least about 90% by weight of the dried coating and has a particle mean diameter of about 0.05-4.0 .mu.m. The binding agent is predominantly hydrophilic.

  • Patent number: 4140463
Abstract: Sheets, strips or filaments of thermoplastic resin are produced by one or more extruders working into a remote shaping die that is movably juxtaposed with a cooling drum around which the hot product issuing from the die mouth is to be wound, the die being connected with the extruder or extruders via one or more flexible ducts having heating elements embedded in their walls. Each duct may comprise an inner hose of Teflon, an outer envelope of reinforced silicone rubber and various intermediate layers including a heating layer in the form of a wire coil or mesh and a surrounding heat barrier of asbestos.
