  • Patent number: 6640704
Abstract: The method and the device provide for the balancing of rotating bodies, in particular for balancing the drum of a reproduction unit such as a roller of a printing plate exposure device. At least one weight element is provided as a balancing element that can be repositioned along a predetermined movement path, especially a movement path running at a constant radial distance from the axis of rotation of the rotating body. The weight element compensates for imbalances and it can be fixed in different balancing positions by interlocking engagement.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 10, 2001
Date of Patent: November 4, 2003
    Assignee: Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG
    Inventors: Heinz Siebolds, Burkhard Paasch

  • Patent number: 6007320
Abstract: An apparatus for continuously produced pressed board has a structuring belt in the form of a metal wire screen which is fed with a respectively endless steel belt and the wood-based mat passing through a continuous press whose heated upper and lower press platens have the belts guided therealong via rollers displaceable along closed paths. The wire mesh configuration of the structuring belt is continuously impressed into the pressed board strand which is produced.

  • Patent number: 4627266
Abstract: A spindle press of the type in which an inertial mass controls the clutch connecting a continuously rotatable flywheel with the spindle and is effective when the ram is retarded to decouple the spindle from the flywheel. The control unit is provided directly on the ram and the mass is arranged so as to be movable at least with its principal component of movement in the working direction of displacement of the ram, thereby excluding from significance any distortion of the spindle and the spindle nut drive between the ram and the flywheel.
