  • Publication number: 20090202570
Abstract: The invention provides PM-2 antibodies, functional fragments, modified and variant forms, nucleic acid and other compositions. Antibodies, functional fragments, modified and variant forms, nucleic acid and other compositions are useful in treatment and diagnostic methods. One method includes treating metastasis of a neoplasia, tumor or cancer in a subject in need of treatment by administering to the subject an amount of a PM-2 antibody or functional fragment thereof effective to treat metastasis of the neoplasia, tumor or cancer in the subject.
    Type: Application

  • Publication number: 20080281083
Abstract: A polypeptide, which is expressed on the cell surface as a membrane-bound protein, is glycolyzed at one or more points (i.e., membrane glycoprotein) and has an amino acid sequence that corresponds partially or completely to that of the integrin binding protein p80 (accession #AJ131720) or REV1 (accession #AF206019.) The membrane glycoprotein, is expressed by neoplastic cells and not by non-neoplastic cells as an antigen, specifically binds the human monoclonal antibody PM-2 (DSM number: DSM ACC2600) and is, in addition, N-glycosidically and O-glucosidically linked. A related method is provided for the isolation or production of the antigen and for the use of the latter for producing a medicament for immunization. The isolated antigen can also be used to identify medicaments with an apoptotic cell-proliferation inhibiting action. The membrane glycoprotein can also be used as a tumor marker.

  • Patent number: 4359439
Abstract: The invention concerns the production of an extruded plastic sectional bar, or the like profiled element, having one longitudinally extending section which has a duller surface finish and another longitudinally extending section which has a less dull surface. To accomplish this, the extrusion tool, at the outlet end, has first and second temperature control devices so that as the bar is being extruded, the first section of the bar is exposed to one temperature while the second section of the bar is exposed to a different temperature, for producing the different surface finishes.
