  • Patent number: 11897731
Abstract: A brake device for braking an elevator installation traveling body movable along a guide rail includes a holder mounting a brake element having a brake surface movable relative to the holder between a freewheel position and a braking position. In a deactivated configuration, a pretensioning element does not exert any force moving the brake element towards the braking position, and in an activated configuration exerts such force. In a retaining state, a release element retains the pretensioning element in the deactivated configuration, and when activated into a released state, the release element changes the pretensioning element into the activated configuration. In an unactuated state, a friction-generating element does not abut the guide rail and, in an actuated state generates friction by abutting the guide rail to exert a force on the brake element and force the brake element towards the freewheel position.

  • Patent number: 11891275
Abstract: A brake device for braking a traveling body movable along a guide rail in a movement direction includes a holder mounting a brake element that has a brake surface directed toward the guide rail, the brake element being movable relative to the holder between a free-running position and a braking position. A pretensioning element is activated to exert a force that moves the brake element toward the braking position. A release element holds the pretensioning element in a holding state and is activated into a released state to reconfigure the pretensioning element from a deactivated configuration into the activated configuration. A pressing element in an actuated state generates a force on the brake element in a direction toward the guide rail to enable a reset of the brake device.

  • Publication number: 20200109030
Abstract: A holder structure fixed to an elevator car of an elevator is configured to hold a passenger's smart mobile device. The mobile device includes sensors, and the holder structure releasably mechanically couples the mobile device to the elevator car. A method for monitoring an operation of the elevator includes providing the mobile device with a specific application software controlling the mobile device to execute the following monitoring procedure: repeatedly supervising measurement values of at least one of the sensors; upon occurrence of a specific parameter pattern in the measurement values, starting a measurement acquisition procedure during which measurement values are sensed by at least one of the sensors and the sensed measurement values are transmitted to an evaluation unit for further evaluation. The specific parameter pattern specifically results upon the mobile device being held in at least one of a predefined position and a predefined orientation in the elevator car.

  • Publication number: 20150368068
Abstract: An elevator installation has a vertical elevator shaft, an elevator car vertically displaceable in a vertical direction in the shaft, a load-bearing device connected to the car and guided to a counterweight via a drive pulley, and a compensation element connected to the car and guided to the counterweight. A blocking device selectively secures the compensation element in the elevator installation such that, with the compensation element secured between the car and the blocking device, a tensioning force can be generated in the compensation element. The blocking device is used in a method for positioning the car in a desired position in the elevator installation.

  • Patent number: 9126804
Abstract: A method for triggering an elevator brake in an emergency situation of a vertically movable elevator car in an elevator installation, wherein a movable part of the brake is held in a starting position by an electromagnetic force generated by a coil connected with a voltage source, and for triggering the brake the voltage supplied to the coil is interrupted and the movable part is moved from the starting position to a braking position by a spring force of at least one spring. A voltage is set by a switching unit that is connected with a control unit in dependence on at least one travel parameter of the elevator car determined by the control unit and, in the case of failure of the voltage source, triggering of the elevator brake is delayed by a delay unit in dependence on the set voltage.

  • Patent number: 7306488
Abstract: Luminous units of this kind have light members in the form of incandescent lamps, whose contacts are connected electrically conductive with an electrical connector via an intermediate or contact plate. The contact plate must be fastened separately, owing to which manufacture and assembly are complicated and costly. In order to avoid this, the luminous unit has a light member holder, which is connected with the light member and has a coupling piece for the electrical connector. The coupling connection permits a simple and reliable electrical connection between the light member and the electrical connector. The contacts of the light member have contact pins, which are lengthened by lengthening pins. These allow the contact pins to be directly connected with the electrical connector.
