  • Patent number: 6388606
Abstract: In the inventive aircraft based or spacecraft based radar system with synthetic antenna aperture (SAR=Synthetic Aperture Radar) a transmit antenna and a receive antenna are provided according to a bistatic radar, which are arranged above the earth's surface, physically separate and on different platforms of which at least one is moving, so that a relative movement results between the transmit antenna and the receive antenna. Either the transmit antenna, the receive antenna, or both antennas are designed for ambiguity suppression. The radar system according to the invention is useful particularly for the systematic imaging of the earth's surface.

  • Patent number: 5084949
Abstract: A tentering chain has a continuously adjustable chain pitch for the simultaneous biaxial treatment of film webs. Tenter bodies conventionally equipped with clamps or hooks for gripping an edge of the film web are carried by the tentering chain. Guide rails operate the tenter clamps. Neighboring tenter bodies are interconnected by chain links. Each chain link is connected by a hinging connection at each end to the respective tenter body. At least one of the two hinging connections of a chain link is adjustable by a hinging bolt having an eccentric section or sections and a circular section or sections. The adjustable eccentric hinging bolts are mounted for rotation in the tenter bodies and the eccentric section engages the respective end of the chain link. For this purpose the chain link has a bore in which the eccentric section is received.

  • Patent number: 4900361
Abstract: The invention refers to a process for obtaining a melt of destruction starch containing a finite amount of electrolytes comprising:A. providing a starch material containing free electrolytes and/or bound phosphate salts,B. removing partially or wholly the free electrolytes and/or the metallic cations from the phosphate groups of the starch,C. optionally replacing a part or all of the free H.sup.+ -ions of the free phosphate groups with metallic monovalent and/or polyvalent cations,D. conditioning the obtained starch material to a water content of 10 to 25% by weight calculated on the basis of starch and water,E. heating said starch/water composition at elevated pressure to a temperature sufficient to essentially destructure the starch while maintaining said water content until a melt of destructurized starch is formed. The invention further refers to the process ofF. cooling said melt (as obtained under E.
