Abstract: In a motor vehicle having a plurality of front and rear seats, at least one of the front seats is turnable rearward to confront a rear seat and has a cushioning portion at an upper portion thereof; a curtain which can be drawn between the front seats is provided; and shock-absorbing materials are provided in the dashboard of the motor vehicle in front of the seat which is turnable rearward and on a side opposite to the rearside of the back rest of the rear seats. The curtain between the front seats serves to prevent the attention of the driver in one of the front seats from being distracted by the passenger in the adjoining front seat. The shock-absorbing materials are useful to improve the safety of the vehicle in the event of a collision.
