  • Patent number: 6713492
Abstract: Drugs or reagents containing as the active ingredient N-acyloxylated cycloalkyl compounds represented by general formula (I): wherein A is optionally substituted C4 or C5 cycloalkyl which may have one double bond in the ring; and R is C1-C3 alkyl or phenyl). The above compounds are hydroxyamine derivatives functioning as spin trapping agents and can rapidly react with free radicals or active oxygen in an objective organ in spite of their being excellent in stability during the preparation or administration thereof.

  • Patent number: 6121305
Abstract: A medicine or reagent comprising a bipyrazole derivative of the following formula (I), ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are individually a hydrogen atom, aryl group, alkyl group having 1-5 carbon atoms, or alkoxycarbonylalkyl group having a total of 3-6 carbon atoms, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are individually a hydrogen atom, alkyl group having 1-5 carbon atoms, cycloalkyl group having 5-7 carbon atoms, hydroxyalkyl group having 1-3 carbon atoms, benzyl group, naphthyl group, or substituted or unsubstituted phenyl group, as an active component. The medicine is useful for effectively capturing active oxygen and free radicals which cause adult diseases such as cerebral ischemia, heart disease, digestive system disease, and carcinoma, as well as inflammation, and for diagnosing diseases associated with in vivo free radicals.

  • Patent number: 5519160
Abstract: Derivatives of alkyl 3-(substituted or unsubstituted benzylidene)-1-alkyl-2-oxocylopentanecarboxylate of the following formula (I), ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 individually represent a lower alkyl group; X is a halogen atom, a cyano group, an alkyl group, a haloalkyl group, a phenyl group, or a nitro group; and m is an integer of 0 to 5; provided when m is 2 or larger, Xs may be either the same or different. The compounds are useful themselves as an effective ingredient of antifungal compositions, and can be used for intermediates of agriculture chemicals and medicines.
