  • Publication number: 20210353266
Abstract: Midstream urine collection with a device having an upper portion which forms an initial collection well, and a lower portion divided into an initial stream collection reservoir and a midstream collection reservoir. The device further includes a collection cavity and drain to allow a urine stream to flow into the housing. The device further includes a rotatable diverter adapted to rotate between: a first position in which an actuation panel is positioned to separate the initial collection well from the initial stream collection reservoir and a deflection panel is positioned to separate the initial collection well from the midstream collection reservoir; and a second position in which the deflector panel deflects the urine stream received through the collection drain into the midstream collection reservoir. The actuation panel comprises a piece of absorbent material affixed to a top surface thereof, within the initial collection well.

  • Patent number: 7622149
Abstract: A physical vapor deposition method for the deposition of thioaluminate phosphor compositions includes providing one or more source materials including an intermetallic barium aluminum compound, a barium aluminum alloy or a protected barium metal, providing an activator species and effecting deposition of the one or more source materials and activator species as a phosphor composition on a selected substrate. The method allows for the deposition of blue thin film electroluminescent phosphors with high luminance and colors required for TV applications.

  • Patent number: 7534504
Abstract: An improved fine grained zinc sulfide phosphor is provided for use in ac electroluminescent displays. The fine-grained zinc sulfide phosphor film exhibits improved luminance and may be used in conjunction with a structure or substance to minimize or prevent reaction of the fine grained phosphor with oxygen. The invention is particularly applicable to zinc sulfide phosphors used in electroluminescent displays that employ thick dielectric layers subject to high processing temperatures to form and activate the phosphor films.

  • Patent number: 7534515
Abstract: An acid-base proton conducting polymer blend membrane is provided. The acid-base proton conducting polymer blend membrane comprises a first acidic polymer having acidic subunits, a second basic polymer having basic subunits, and a third polymer containing one or more functional units for improving membrane conductivity, flexibility, water remaining ability, dimension stability, and methanol crossover. In one embodiment, the acid-base polymer blend membrane of the present invention comprises a first acidic polymer having acidic subunits, a second basic polymer having basic subunits, wherein at least one of the first acidic and second basic polymer comprises one or more functional units to improve the properties of the membrane. The functional units include hydrophilic units, methanol blocking units, methanol blocking units, dimensional stabilizer units, and flexible units.
