  • Patent number: 7241765
Abstract: Melanin concentrating hormone receptor ligands (especially 1-benzyl-4-aryl-piperazines, 1-benzyl-4-aryl-piperidines and related compounds), capable of modulating MCH receptor activity, are provided. Such ligands may be used to modulate MCH binding to MCH receptors in vivo or in vitro, and are particularly useful in the treatment of a variety of metabolic, feeding and sexual disorders in humans, domesticated companion animals and livestock animals. Pharmaceutical compositions and methods for treating such disorders are provided, as are methods for using such ligands for detecting MCH receptors (e.g., receptor localization studies).
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 17, 2006
Date of Patent: July 10, 2007
    Assignee: Neurogen Corporation
Inventors: Alan J. Hutchison, Linda M. Gustavson, John M. Peterson, Dario Doller, Timothy M. Caldwell, Taeyoung Yoon, Wallace C. Pringle, Rajagopal Bakthavatchalam, Yiping Shen, Cheryl K. Steenstra, Helen Yin, Robert W. DeSimone, Xiao-shu He

  • Patent number: 5339472
Abstract: An infant head support pillow neck made of a filler-cushion material which is covered by a top half and bottom half which are sewn together. The top and bottom halves are identically shaped so as to give the infant pillow head support a substantially rectangular appearance. The shape of the infant head support pillow is defined by first and second latitudinal sides and first and second longitudinal sides, the longitudinal sides being longer in length than the latitudinal sides. The second longitudinal side has a first keyhole wing and a second keyhole wing which curve inward in the direction of the first longitudinal side to form an opening between them. The second longitudinal side extends from the first and second keyhole wings to form a keyhole region at the center of the pillow. The keyhole region has a diameter which is approximately one-fourth the distance between the first and second latitudinal sides.
