  • Patent number: 5562896
Abstract: A method and device for protecting a body against sunburn involve application of a sunscreen composition to external portions of a body, with the sunscreen composition being capable of fluorescing under black light illumination. The body is illuminated with a black light so as to cause the sunscreen to fluoresce. The body is viewed under illumination from the black light so as to identify any non-fluorescing, missed external portions of the body to which the sunscreen was not previously applied.
