    Abstract: A fire resistant glass structure in which the intervening layer between the panes has a portion of its polyhydric organic compounds replaced by potassium water glass in a layer which consists primarily of sodium water glass. The replacement eliminates ultraviolet light sensitivity without reduction in the increase in the duration of fire resistance provided by the organic compound.
