The subject methods can be used to treat a variety of different disorders, for example, autoimmune disease and neoplasia. The invention also pertains to methods for identifying compounds that modulates the activity of Ian-4, leucine-rich protein of 130 kD, GRP78, GRP94, or hsp60.
