  • Patent number: 5846001
Abstract: A chiplessly formed bearing washer for a thrust bearing, comprising an angular thrust washer (1) comprising a radial portion (2) which forms a raceway and merges into at least one axial bend (3), said thrust bearing washer comprising a retention means in the form of projections (4) or recesses, the bent edges of the projections (4) or the edges of the recesses are provided with a stamping (7), whereby detrimental stresses occurring in the bent region are avoided.

  • Patent number: 5458541
Abstract: The invention relates to a tensioning system for a belt or chain drive. Tensioners are known in which there are plastic friction bushes to damp oscillations where the coefficient of friction is adversely affected by temperature effects. It is the purpose of the invention to provide a tensioning system in which the friction coating retains a virtually constant frictional torque throughout its useful life. To this end, according to the invention there is a basic component (2) in which against a base (5) in the shape of a circular disc bears a friction coating (18) on which is supported a friction disc (10) which is secured against rotation by means of a shaft (7), to the tensioner (9) producing the oscillating movement.

  • Patent number: 5193917
Abstract: A rolling bearing, in particular for steering columns of automotive vehicles, comprising rolling elements in the form of balls arranged between an inner ring and another ring, and a tolerance ring made of a polymeric material which is at least partially surrounded by the inner ring and is pressed axially against the inner ring in the direction of the balls by a spring, characterized in that the spring (7, 17) is made of a polymeric material.

  • Patent number: 5125755
Abstract: A tolerance ring made of polymeric material arranged between a radial rolling bearing and a seating on a shaft or in the bore of a housing, wherein the tolerance ring bears against a radially directed surface of the seating on the shaft or housing bore in at least one axial direction and comprises a radially directed surface against which a bearing ring of the rolling bearing bears in the same axial direction with an end face, characterized in that the radially directed surface of the seating and the end face of the bearing ring do not overlap radially which avoids axial overloading.

  • Patent number: 5002404
Abstract: A radial rolling bearing with a pulse pick-up device for the determination of the rotational speed and angle of rotation of the bearing and/or the direction of rotation, which bearing comprises at least one race ring with rolling elements between the race ring and a counter raceway concentric with it, rolling elements roll and which at one end is provided with a pulser ring in the form of a radial sheet metal flange with recesses or through holes distributed over its periphery, characterized in that the race ring is made as a thin-walled component which at one end face merges into an integrally formed and radially directed flange.

  • Patent number: 4971460
Abstract: An axial-radial rolling bearing comprising a first row of rolling elements which, for the absorption of axial forces are arranged between plane-parallel raceways of two race discs and a second row of rolling elements which, for the absorption of radial forces are arranged between flanges extending essentially axially and formed at adjacent peripheral edges of the race discs, characterized in that the flanges extend in different axial directions and overlap each other over at least a part of their length, the two rows of rolling elements being arranged radially one above the other substantially in one plane.
