Patent number: 9446811Abstract: A three-wheeled scooter comprising a footboard is disclosed. The scooter can include a steering column with at least one steering wheel being disposed on the front end of the footboard in the direction of travel, and two running wheels being rotatably mounted, spaced apart from one another with parallel axes, on the rear end of the footboard in the direction of travel. A load platform connected to the footboard is provided above the running wheels. The association of the steering column and the load platform with the footboard is asymmetric in such a way that on the one hand when pushing off with his pushing foot the rider can carry out a push-off movement which is not hindered by the load platform and on the other hand the scooter is largely resistant to tipping both during the pushing off and also during the travel phase even when traveling around curves.Type: GrantFiled: June 18, 2015Date of Patent: September 20, 2016Assignee: Helmut AbelInventor: Helmut Abel

Patent number: 8789835Abstract: The described roller skate is essentially composed of a boot, to the sole of which the plate of a roller carrier element is detachably connected with screws penetrating the through holes. The screw holes are located on both sides of the vertical symmetry axis on the center longitudinal line. Bearing blocks and are connected to the underside of the plate via a web extending in the longitudinal direction. The floating axles of the inline rollers and of the outer rollers are inserted in bores through or through. The bearing blocks and with their different bores through or through are likewise embodied and arranged in a mirror symmetrical manner with respect to the vertical center line. The explained symmetry of the roller carrier element makes it possible for it to be used for the left and right roller skate.Type: GrantFiled: July 3, 2012Date of Patent: July 29, 2014Inventors: Helmut Abel, Diane Abel, Céline Abel

Publication number: 20040245733Abstract: Cart with a flat cargo platform (1), adapted to travel in the horizontal direction via foldable wheels (2, 2′) mounted respectively via one wheel fork (3, 3′), and with a vertically pivotable pole handle (11) which is connected to the bottom side (12) of the cargo platform (1) via a horizontally pivotable swivel mount (9). Each wheel fork (3, 3′) is mounted on the cargo platform (1) pivotable about an axle (4, 4′) parallel to cargo platform (1) and securable in an operating position projecting perpendicular to the bottom side (12) of the cargo platform (1) and at least one folded position parallel to the cargo platform (1). The pole handle (11) is linked to the swivel mount (9) in such a manner that it can be folded into a folded position parallel to the bottom side (12) of the cargo platform (1). The handle (11) can be secured in the folded in position.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 4, 2003Publication date: December 9, 2004Inventor: Helmut Abel

Patent number: 5063807Abstract: The invention pertains to a saw, in particular to a jig saw or scroll saw, with a saw blade which is driven by a force acting on a parallelogram of rods. A saw blade is attached to a connecting shank which joins two longitudinal side arms. The two longitudinal side arms are designed to move in their longitudinal direction. On at least one of the two longitudinal side arms a guide element in the form of, for example, a turning roller, is positively guided against a stationary guide surface which is at an angle, preferablye an acute angle, to the connecting shank. As a result of this positive guidance, the backward movement of the saw blade from the cut edge during the return stroke is reduced to a desired value. Thus a jig saw of small size, but with a large stroke, can be realized in which the saw blade is guided parallel to the cut edge at all times but is moved back by a small amount from the cut edge during the return stroke.Type: GrantFiled: July 26, 1990Date of Patent: November 12, 1991Inventor: Helmut Abel

Patent number: 4758009Abstract: This transport hand-cart is used for carrying luggage or similar items and is collapsible into briefcase form. The cart has removeable wheel carriages and handle that fit into recesses in the flat load carrying portion of the cart. The wheel carriages and handle have a series of protrusions that engage slots in the load carrying portion of the cart to facilitate attachment and detachment. In the collapsed form the handle of the cart protrudes from the confines of its recess in the load carrying portion of the cart to provide a handle in the collapsed carrying position.Type: GrantFiled: June 2, 1986Date of Patent: July 19, 1988Inventor: Helmut Abel

Patent number: RE32020Abstract: To floatingly support a saw blade in a frame, the frame is formed, at its free ends, with forked elements; clamping elements are clamped to the saw. The engagement between the forked element (the blade fitting between the gap in the fork) and the clamping element is by means of a depression-projection fulcrum engagement, so that the clamping element, to which the saw blade is attached, can rock or tilt with respect to the forked element, attached to the frame, thus avoiding holding stresses on the saw blade which lead to breakage of the blade at the attachment or clamping points.Type: GrantFiled: April 18, 1983Date of Patent: November 5, 1985Inventor: Helmut Abel
