Abstract: Disclosed is a seat adjusting device (10) and a method for operating the same. The seat adjusting device (10) includes two seat parts (15, 16, 17, 18, 19) positioned such that they are movable relative to each other and/or relative to a fastening surface (12, 14) and which are interconnected via at least one ratchet mechanism (56). The ratchet mechanism (56) includes a bidirectionally active rotary drive unit (54) which is operatively connected via a connecting element (52, 64, 72, 78) with at least one pneumatic linear actuator (52) which contracts in an axial direction when acted upon by a certain pressure (42, 43), which causes the rotary drive unit (54) to rotate.

Abstract: A liquid concentrate which has a content of proteases and/or amylases, non-ionic and optionally anionic surfactants, water and optionally solvents selected from mono- and poly-valent alcohols and ethers thereof, which concentrate contains an alkoxylated alkylamine of the formula ##STR1## wherein R is alkyl of 4 to 20 carbon atoms, R' is hydrogen or alkyl of 1 to 10 carbon atoms, provided that the sum of the carbon atoms in R and R' is from 9 to 19, R" is hydrogen, methyl or hydroxymethyl, x is an integer from 1 to 5, and y is 0 or an integer from 1 to 5, provided that the sum of x and y is from 1 to 10; as well as its use as a washing and cleaning agent and washing and cleaning formulations containing the same.

Abstract: The method of activating aqueous solutions of percompounds utilizing hexacyclic ester-anhydrides of .alpha.-hydroxycarboxylic acids of the formula ##STR1## as activators, solid activated compositions comprising solid percompounds and said cyclic ester-anhydrides of .alpha.-hydroxycarboxylic acids, as activators.

Abstract: Heat dried, finely-divided compositions of optical brighteners and fillers comprising as said fillers at least partly of a finely-divided water-insoluble silicate compound containing at least some combined water and having a calcium binding power of at least 50 mg CaO/gm of anhydrous active substance and the formula on the anhydrous basis(M.sub.2 /.sub.n O).sub.x . Me.sub.2 O.sub.3 . (SiO.sub.2).sub.ywhere M is a cation of the valence n, exchangeable with calcium, x is a member of from 0.7 to 1.5, Me is a member selected from the group consisting of aluminum and boron, and y is a number from 0.8 to 6, preferably from 1.3 to 4, in an amount of at least 5% by weight of the mixture, as well as a process for producing the same comprising the steps of mixing said silicate compound, while at least still moist from its production, with said optical brighteners and converting the entire mixture of components into a pourable product.
