Publication number: 20220363151Abstract: In a method for automatically establishing a plug-in connection for charging electric vehicles, first the relative position between a free plug-in connector on a positioning head that can be moved in at least two spatial directions, and a permanently installed plug-in connector is determined by a position sensor. Then the free plug-in connector approaches the permanently installed plug-in connector until there is mechanical contact between interacting guide surfaces in an insertion position, and the free plug-in connector is moved into a plug-in position. The distance along a common plug-in axis between the guide surfaces decreases continuously during the plug-in process. The transverse forces occurring at the guide surfaces relative to the plug-in direction are detected by transverse-force sensors and the positioning head is moved transversely and/or about a transverse pivot axis, reducing these transverse forces.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 30, 2020Publication date: November 17, 2022Inventors: Bernhard Walzel, Mario Hirz, Helmut Brunner

Patent number: 6320866Abstract: Network terminations are made available to a customer and installed by a network operator of a digital communications network. The customer is responsible for the supply of power to the network terminations. In the event of a power failure, a network termination of the digital communications network sends an error message (FM) to the customer who is responsible for correcting the power failure. The error message (FM) is sent in the payload of the digital message signals. The network termination (NT) includes a power supply (USV) which in the event of the power failure can sustain output for a predetermined period of time, in which the error can be signaled. To signal the error, the payload may be overwritten with a predetermined bit pattern (BM).Type: GrantFiled: March 20, 1998Date of Patent: November 20, 2001Assignee: AlcatelInventors: Michael Wolf, Helmut Brunner
