  • Patent number: 5906266
Abstract: An apparatus for transporting textile packages in a transport direction along an elongate package supporting surface comprises a guide track extending beneath the elongate supporting surface, an elongated thrust element slidable on the guide track, and an elongated lift element superposed on the thrust element for elevational movement toward and away therefrom via connecting pivot rods. A stop device on the thrust element limits the elevational movement of the lift element between a lowered position disposed beneath the elongate supporting surface and a raised position disposed at a higher elevation than the elongate supporting surface for displacing textile packages off the elongate supporting surface. A drive actuates elevational movement of the lift element and displaces the lift and thrust elements as a unit along the guide track when the lift element is in the raised position for transporting the textile packages displaced by the raised lift element.

  • Patent number: 5816381
Abstract: A transport apparatus for feeding textile packages used in the textile industry in two transport directions includes a first pusher element being displaceable in two transport directions and a second pusher or indexing element extending parallel to the first pusher element. A coupling device couples the elements in various positions with limited mutual movement. A reversible drive mechanism is connected to one of the elements for acting on the one element to produce a relative motion between the elements. Latch carriers for the two transport directions are movably supported on the first pusher element. The latch carriers are pivotal into a transport plane of sliver holding containers in accordance with the transport directions by the second pusher or indexing element. The latch carriers are automatically pivoted into a transport position or an idle stroke position under influence of the relative motion.

  • Patent number: 5732543
Abstract: A pneumatic cleaning device (10) for the spinning stations of an open-end spinning machine (1) is disposed on the sliver draw-in arm (22) of a traveling service unit (16) for unitary movement with the draw-in arm between a resting position (I) and an operating position (II). In the operating position (II), two suction nozzles of the cleaning device are positioned in the area of the sliver opening device of a spinning station at which the service unit is positioned. One suction nozzle is pivotable by an electric motor drive acting through a lever linkage arrangement to cover the area below the dirt outlet opening of the sliver opening device.

  • Patent number: 5287895
Abstract: An equipment for transporting, handling and feeding stock bobbins to a loom having a preparation station (5) for the charging of bobbin holders (12) with stock bobbins (4) and a transport loop (7) for transporting these bobbin holders (12) towards looms. The looms are arranged in groups and for returning bobbin holders (12') containing empty bobbin tubes towards the preparation station (5), as well as at least one storage section (7c) branching off the transport loop (7) for receiving a number of the bobbin holders (12, 12') which corresponds with the need of bobbins at the time by at least one of the groups of looms (1a, 1b, . . . 1n). For the exchange of the bobbin holders (12' or 12 respectively) on the looms a loading mechanism (18) is provided which is mounted on a secondary transport mechanism (10) which may be moved independently of the transport loop (7) towards a number of groups of looms (1a, 1b, . . .

  • Patent number: 5247969
Abstract: A mechanism for feeding weft yarn stock bobbins to a loom includes a bobbin frame (3) for at least two stock bobbins (4) which may be fitted to bobbin holders (38) having longitudinal axes (L) which may be aligned on a common yarn guide member (6). The bobbin holders (38) are each formed on a bobbin carrier (10, 10') intended for receiving one of the stock bobbins (4) and able by means of a holder (30) of a charging mechanism to be fastened to the bobbin frame (3) and removed from the bobbin frame, the bobbin carrier having a yarn guide unit (45) for feeding the piece (A) at the start of the weft yarn (5) wound onto this stock bobbin (4) to the common yarn guide member (6).

  • Patent number: 5115631
Abstract: An apparatus for transporting sliver cans between a sliver can handling location and a textile spinning machine includes a rod member having a plurality of uniformly spaced engaging members. A pair of preferably plastic, parallel sliding rails each extend parallel to the rod member on a respective side thereof for supporting the sliver cans for sliding movement therealong. The rod member is supported for axial and rotational movement and is operatively connected to a drive device which cyclically axially displaces the rod member by a uniform amount of travel corresponding to a uniform spacing between the sliver cans. The rod member is rotated 90.degree. to move the engaging members between horizontal disengage positions in which they are out of engagement with the sliver cans and vertical engage positions in which the engaging members project vertically for engaging the bottom rim portions of the sliver cans during axial displacement of the rod member.
