  • Patent number: 9366553
Abstract: A metallurgical probe has a probe longitudinal axis and an open end face. The probe is fitted within a bearing point in such a manner that the open end face faces a predetermined insertion direction. The bearing point has probe centering elements to hold the probe in a predetermined probe position as seen transversely with respect to the probe longitudinal axis. A device inserts an end of the contact rod into a contact rod centering device, in an insertion direction running transversely with respect to the probe longitudinal axis, until the end of the contact rod is positioned, on account of the insertion into the contact rod centering device, in a predetermined contact rod position, in which the end of the contact rod is opposite the open end face. The contact rod is then moved in a direction of the probe longitudinal axis and is inserted into the probe.

  • Patent number: 8376196
Abstract: A device for interchangeable connection of a casting tube to a spout of a melt vessel with a sliding closure fastened on a melt vessel. The closure is formed by at least one stationary closure plate and a closure plate that can be displaced relative thereto, wherein the displaceable closure plate is coupled to a sliding drive system and carries the casting tube. To improve the changeover process of a casting tube and to make it safer, the displaceable closure plate carries a connecting ring for the centered accommodation of the casting tube and the displaceable closure plate carries a changing device for the casting tube. The changing device is synchronously displaceable with the displaceable plate. A tensioning device presses the casting tube onto the displaceable closure plate.

  • Patent number: 8215375
Abstract: In order to be able to carry out a multiplicity of continuously recurring activities at a continuous casting plant having at least one multifunction robot for implementing a plurality of different process-controlled or automated interventions at the continuous casting plant, at least one working region at the continuous casting plant and at least one multifunction robot assigned to each working region. The multifunction robot is arranged on a pivotable arm at a rotary column fastened to the pouring platform of the continuous casting plant and the robot can be pivoted with the pivot arm between a retraction position and a working position. The robot is also movable with respect to its arm.

  • Patent number: 4415642
Abstract: The metal substrate of an electrophotographic member is provided with a selenium-tellurium alloy layer containing 5-30% tellurium, 10-5,000 ppm of a metallic element of the fifth main group, and 10-100 ppm of a halogen. A preferred embodiment contains 15% tellurium, 40 ppm arsenic, and 40 ppm chlorine. The addition of the metallic element of the fifth main group to the selenium-tellurium alloy results in a stabilization of charging potentials in multicycle operation. If the metal substrate is an aluminum drum, the electrophotographic member can be used as a copying drum in high-speed copiers.
