    Abstract: A luminaire for generating direct lighting and indirect lighting including an LED light source for generating light and a light guide plate having a first main surface and a second main surface, which is connected to the first main surface marginally via a narrow side face, wherein the LED light source is arranged in such a way that the light is radiated into the light guide plate via the narrow side face and subsequently one part of the light is emitted for generating the direct lighting via the first large main surface. Furthermore, a reflector is provided, which is arranged adjacent to the second main surface, wherein the reflector has at least one light-transmissive region configured in such a way that a further part of the light is emitted for generating the indirect lighting via the second main surface through the light-transmissive region.
