  • Patent number: 6552441
Abstract: A control unit has a circuit support, on which electrical and/or electronic components of an electronic circuit of the control unit are disposed. The circuit support is composed of a temperature-resistant ceramic material, and on it there is applied at least one resistive track made of a material whose electrical resistance is temperature-dependent. The resistive track is connected to an evaluation circuit that determines the temperature using resistance values measured on the resistive track. The circuit support is in thermally conductive contact with the environment that is to be taken into consideration.

  • Publication number: 20030037828
Abstract: An electro-hydraulic module for a vehicle transmission integrates control circuitry with a transmission valve body into a single unit. The valve body contains channels that route transmission fluid. The module includes electronic circuitry sandwiched between the valve body and a cover, eliminating the need for a separate circuit plate to support the electronic circuitry. Solenoids may also be attached to the valve body for further integration.

  • Patent number: 6523399
Abstract: A control unit has a control circuit and a pressure sensor connected to the control circuit. The pressure sensor measures the hydraulic pressure in a transmission or the induction-pipe vacuum of an engine. A common housing has a metallic base plate, into which a metallic support plate for the pressure sensor is fitted. The support plate has a borehole through which the pressure sensor is subjected to pressure. A metallic ring is secured on the support plate. A glass cylinder is secured on the support plate, and the pressure sensor, which is configured as a silicon chip, is secured on the glass cylinder.

  • Publication number: 20020111730
Abstract: A control unit (14) for mounting within a vehicle transmission (12) includes a valve body (28) with defining a plurality of fluid passages (42) and a substantially planer surface (44). A flex foil (34) and an electronic control unit (16) attach to the planer surface (44). The flex foil (34) includes a plurality of contact pads (86) that provide for the electrical communication between the electronic control unit (16) and a plurality of electrical components (24, 30) mounted to the valve body (28). The valve body includes a plurality of openings to communicate fluid to the electrical components (24, 30) for control of hydraulic fluid within the fluid passages (42). (FIG. 2).
