  • Patent number: 8036066
Abstract: The invention relates to a watch comprising a first hour wheel (16) which is rotatably driven around a rotating pin (3) by means of a drive unit and supports a first hour hand (1), and a second hour wheel ((26) that is joined to the first hour wheel (16) via a springy catching connection and is rotatably driven about a second rotating pin (13) by the first hour wheel (16), a second hour hand (11) being rotatably driven by means of said second hour wheel (26). The watch further comprises a manually adjustable winding stem (62) which supports a drive wheel and with the aid of which the two hour wheels (16 and 23) can be adjusted jointly or individually. The first hour wheel (16) can be adjusted by the drive wheel while the second hour wheel or a third hour tube (26) that supports the second hour hand (11) can be blocked by a manually actuated blocking device.

  • Patent number: 7237945
Abstract: An oscillating system for a mechanical timepiece includes an annular balance wheel arranged in a fixed manner coaxially in relation to a rotatably mounted balance staff. A helical spring encloses the balance staff and has its inner end fastened on the balance staff and its outer end fastened on a fastening device. The fastening device has a helical-spring connector with an inner clamping jaw and an outer clamping jaw, the inner clamping jaw being radially inside of the outer clamping jaw in relation to the axis of rotation of the balance staff. The outer end of the helical spring may be clamped firmly between a clamping surface of the inner clamping jaw and a clamping surface of the outer clamping jaw.

  • Patent number: 6846104
Abstract: A tourbillon for a watch having a setting device for setting the hands of the watch includes a circular balance wheel that can swivel about a swivel axis. In addition, an escapement is provided that consists of a pallet and an escape wheel, the balance wheel and the escapement arranged on a base plate. A balance wheel shaft of the balance is rotationally mounted with its one end on the base plate and with its other end on a cage that surrounds the balance wheel like a basket. The cage comprises, outside of the radially encircling periphery of the balance wheel, a number of interspaced pillars fastened to the base plate and forms, with the base plate, a rotating mount which can be rotationally driven about rotation axis that is coaxial to the swivel axis by a seconds drive of the watch. A stop device can be actuated by the setting device and swiveling movement of the balance wheel can be blocked by the stop device.

Abstract: The invention relates to a tourbillon for a watch having a setting device for setting the hands of the watch. The tourbillon has a circular balance wheel (6) that can swivel about a swivel axis. In addition, an escapement is provided that consists of a pallet (8) and of an escape wheel (9), whereby the balance wheel (6) and the escapement are arranged on a base plate (1), and a balance wheel shaft of the balance wheel (6) is rotationally mounted with its one end on the base plate (1) and with the its other end on a cage (5) that surrounds the balance wheel (6) like a basket. The cage (5) comprises, outside of the radially encircling periphery of the balance wheel (6), a number of interspaced pillars (3) fastened to the base plate (1) and forms, with the base plate (1), a rotating mount, which is connected in a fixed manner to the seconds drive of the watch and, with this drive, can be rotationally driven about a rotation axis (7) that is coaxial to the swivel axis.

  • Patent number: 6252827
Abstract: An arrangement for setting the minute hand of a timepiece which has at least minute and second hands 29, having a setting stem 1 which can be moved axially out of a normal position into a setting position. In this case, upon movement of the setting stem 1 out of the normal position into the setting position, a zero setting drive of the second hand 29 can be driven such that it moves the latter into its zero position and the seconds stem 28, which bears the second hand 29, can be driven via a seconds-display drive mechanism 30 of the movement mechanism of the timepiece. The seconds-display drive mechanism 30 has a blocking device which can be actuated, by virtue of the setting stem 1 being moved in the direction of the setting position, such that the seconds-display drive mechanism 30 is blocked before the second hand 29 is moved into the zero position.

By virtue of the setting stem 1 being moved out of the normal position in the direction of the setting position, it is possible to initiate operation of a spring-force-operated drive by means of which the zero setting drive of the second hand 29 can be driven such that it moves the latter into its zero position.
