  • Patent number: 5073022
Abstract: The disclosed invention provides a means for controlling film flatness at r interfaces in the aperture where the film is used as an imaging medium between film holder plates, such as aperture plates. The film is held flat by lateral tension applied outward in all directions from the center portion of the area of the film being viewed by rubberized type O-rings in grooves on each of the aperture plates being clamped against the film by various clamping direct transverse pressure means. The lateral tension is caused by the stretch of the O-ring outward from the center of the aperture by the shape of grooves in the plates constraining any inward movement but providing bias movement of the O-rings outward.

  • Patent number: 4946231
Abstract: A method of forming polarization grids for infrared optic systems is provd which uses conventional photographic media such as ordinary black and white film or plates in conjunction with a silver reduction process and far-infrared coating techniques.

  • Patent number: 4760267
Abstract: A method of forming infrared light patterns is provided to simulate the ration from actual scenes encountered by infrared image detection systems. The patterns are formed using inexpensive black and white film treated with a silver reducing agent and certain photographic toners to produce specularly reflective images, which strongly reflect far-infrared.

  • Patent number: 4743092
Abstract: A polarizing wire grid filter for use at far infrared frequencies is provided through simple photographic method which employs a newly marketed silver diffusion transfer-developer combination package film and a portable instant developing machine, all supplied by the manufacturer of the film.

  • Patent number: 4687886
Abstract: A cam activated electrical switching means for an elastic multicircuit printed circuit board (PCB). A plurality of PCB reeds with disattached portions at one end nearest the edge of the PCB are cut out in the generally central portion of the PCB, and an electrical board, positioned adjacent to but separated from the PCB, made of elastic PCB-type material has the same number of plurality of flexible reeds cutout therefrom in its central portion. The PCB reeds and electrical board flexible reeds have electrical leads etched on the back sides thereof with the PCB reeds having an electrical contact pin on the front of the disattached end portion facing the etched electrical lead on the back of the disattached end of the flexible reed. An embossed mechanical rider is positioned on the front of the disattached end of the flexible reeds. The electrical etched lead on the back of the flexible reed may be connected to some electrical source on the electrical board.

  • Patent number: 4639603
Abstract: A new technique is provided for the simulation of light images. The technique uses a type of film which is currently marketed under the trade name "Polapan CT", "Polagraph HC" or "Polachrome CS". In addition to transmitting and reflecting frequencies in the visible spectrum and higher frequencies these films will similarly accommodate frequencies from just below the visible spectrum down to at least 14 microns. Means are provided for registering images formed in various parts of the light spectra mentioned above for analysis and test purposes.

  • Patent number: 4609240
Abstract: The present invention discloses a connect/disconnect multichannel electri connector used in a cabinet mounted environment. Electrical contact is provided between a plurality of elastic reeds on the edges of a plurality of elastic printed circuit boards (PCBs) and a plurality of contact pins on cabinet mounted mother boards. In the connect mode, each elastic PCB is positioned over a rigid bar which is attached to the cabinet to form a fulcrum and the PCB is flexed so that the elastic reeds are further flexed into electrical contact with the contact pins when the edge of the PCB opposite the elastic reeds is flexed downward and locked into cabinet right angled rack edge connectors.

  • Patent number: 4560220
Abstract: The present invention discloses a connect/disconnect multichannel electri connector which uses the elasticity of printed circuit board material to maintain electrical contact pressure between contact points on an electrical component on the board and an electrical contact off the board. The contact points need not be concentrated but may be dispersed over the board or on reeds cutout from the board for flexing at the disattached end thereof by a connect/disconnect means to selectively maintain electrical contact.
