  • Patent number: 11941142
Abstract: Methods for using SQL statements to access an application-server-managed database are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, a user sends, either directly or indirectly (i.e., remotely) a SQL statement from an ODBC application or server, respectively, to an application server that preprocesses SQL statements for accessing data from a centralized database. The application server may have a SQL endpoint, and access to the SQL endpoint may be determined by a user's logon credentials, a user's presentation of a SAML token, or a user's presentation of a valid certificate. The application server may then parse the SQL statement and determine the user's authorization to access certain objects in the centralized database based on a SQL handler design-time configuration. A result from the statement may be sent back to the user either directly or indirectly and exposed.

  • Patent number: 9488422
Abstract: The present invention relates to a grenade that can be fired from a barrel, for recoilless firing. The barrel is open at both ends and is without any flow cross-section constrictions. The grenade is formed of a grenade base body which surrounds at least one explosive charge, and a flow cross-section reduction device for reducing the flow cross-section of the barrel. The device is arranged in the opposite direction to the firing direction X with respect to the grenade base body. The flow cross-section reduction device is connected to the grenade base body, separated from it, via a connecting device, and is connected to it such that it is stable during firing. A grenade launcher or shell firing apparatus has a grenade such as this, and the grenade firing apparatus has a barrel which is open at both ends and does not have any flow cross-section constrictions.

  • Patent number: 7741588
Abstract: A method for varying the flight path of a missile, in particular of a spin-stabilized projectile, which has an outer wall and which is provided with at least one impulse device. The impulse device can be activated deliberately at a defined time during the flight of the missile. The impulse device is arranged with respect to the longitudinal axis of the missile such that, when it is activated, it generates an impulse that initiates a tumbling movement which causes the flight-path of the missile to be shortened or varied. A spin-stabilized projectile is provided with such an impulse device and it is configured so that the impulse device may be triggered during flight so as to initiate the flight-altering tumbling movement.

  • Publication number: 20040262252
Abstract: The invention concerns a beverage bottle provided with a mug acting as closure, a bottle whereon fixing an upturned mug is realized with little effort. Consequently, the invention concerns a combination of a beverage bottle and a mug, characterized in that it comprises a beverage bottle and a mug capable of being pressed on at least one end of the bottle and thereby be fixed to said end. The mug and/or the beverage bottle comprise, in the fixing zone, a profiled shape enabling, when the mug is upturned and pressed, a gas exchange between the inside of the mug and outside environment.

  • Publication number: 20030000363
Abstract: In a sawing tool for a hand circular power saw with two coaxial saw blades (11, 12), which can be driven to counter-rotate in relation to each other, which each have an outer set of teeth (13, 14) that represents a main cutter, in order to improve the cutting result even with continuing wear on the cutting edge and in order to reduce damage to the teeth (13, 14) when the saw blades (11, 12) are imperfectly balanced, a trimmer (10) is disposed between the two saw blades (11, 12), which serves to cut away a piece of material possibly remaining in the kerf between the saw blades (11, 12) and which is non-rotatably attached to one of the saw blades (11, 12) and shares an axial overlap with the main cutters (FIG. 3).

  • Patent number: 6046286
Abstract: A process for the radical polymerization of ethylenically unsaturated monomers in an aqueous medium has (a) the starting solution used for the polymerization and the educts required for polymerization such as monomers, germ latex, buffering agents, emulsifiers and/or protective colloids are introduced into a pre-mixing device and thoroughly mixed, heated before being transferred to the polymerization vessel to the polymerization temperature, no initiator being used if a thermal radical initiator is used and only individual initiator components being used where a redox initiator system is used; (b) once the mixture has reached polymerization temperature, it is transferred to a polymerization vessel, the wall of which during the transfer and polymerization is maintained by cooling at a temperature below the polymerization temperature; polymerization is started by adding the thermal initiator or additional initiator components of the redox initiator system, the other educts being added at the start of and/or dur

  • Patent number: 5979332
Abstract: In an infantry grenade (5) the fragmentation effect is enhanced in that a cup portion (7) of a ductile steel--which serves to receive an explosive charge (9)--has at its periphery in a substantially cylindrical longitudinal portion (25) a pre-notched fragmentation arrangement (28, 29) and in a rounded longitudinal portion (26) ball-type fragmentation portions (32). The entire fragmentation arrangement is enclosed by a plastic shell (17).

  • Patent number: 5658101
Abstract: An improved milling head. A milling head is provided with a backing plate with a toothed system on the from side, whose teeth run in parallel to the longitudinal axis of the carrier body. Because the blade plate has a toothed system, which can be engaged with the toothed system on the front of the support plate, the blade plate no longer needs to be shifted radially outward to be resharpened. Rather the blade plate must only be radially displaced to the outside by a tooth of a micro-toothed system. This simplifies the regrinding on a constant flight circle diameter, because only the hard metal of the blade plate needs to be ground, which can be accomplished with a normal hard metal grinding wheel. The support plate only needs to be shaped when it is manufactured, which is possible with a normal corundum disk and can be accomplished quickly. Since the support plate does not need to be reground, it remains completely functional and can be used together with a new blade plate.

  • Patent number: 5111748
Abstract: Submunition which is deployable through the intermediary of an artillery projectile, and in which the submunition includes a releasing device for a braking parachute which is stowed in the tail end region of the submunition. The releasing device is activatable through the intermediary of a retarding element which, in turn, is releasable in dependence upon the exit of the submunition from the casing of the carrier projectile.

  • Patent number: 5001983
Abstract: An article of submunition which is harnessed as a rotating load through the intermediary of a connecting device to the shroud lines of a parachute. The connecting device is designed as a torque or rotational moment-transmitting spreader arrangement for the radial spacing of the coupling of the shroud lines to a spin line carrying the load; whereby a coupling device is positioned between the connecting device and the spin line, in which the coupling device is constructed as a load-dependent slip coupling for the reduction of the torque which is transmitted from the spin line to the connecting device.

  • Patent number: 5000095
Abstract: A projectile with an ejecting charge for the expulsion of a payload. The ejecting charge effectively develops a pressure which is of sufficient duration and adequately high for effectuating the expulsion of the payload; however, wherein the casing thereof will not burst into the kind of fragments which conceivably can damage the payload. A receiving member for the ejecting charge is mounted within the projectile, which receiving member withstands the development of the pressure encountered during the combusting of the ejecting charge; wherein that the receiving member possesses a multiplicity of apertures through which there discharges the propellent gas which is developed during the combustion of the ejecting charge, and wherein the ejecting charge is inserted into a thin-walled cup contained in the receiving member.

  • Patent number: 4893399
Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus for changing tools of a numerically controlled machining center having a tool chain magazine which has a straight chain strand. Previously the tools were only changed individually. In order to acclerate the tool change, a cassette (6) having a plurality of tool receptacles (7) is proposed which can assume a normal position and a further position, in which arrangement, in the further position, one tool or a plurality of tools can be transferred directly from the cassette (6) to the strand (1) or vice versa and, in the normal position, the cassette (6) can be loaded and unloaded with regard to the tools or can be exchanged for another.
