  • Patent number: 5979282
Abstract: A cutter-infeed apparatus for cutting installations for articles in tape or strip form or film-like articles, circular cutters being fastened on upper and lower shafts and displaced with respect to one another for fixing the cutter infeed, and an electrical insulation between the upper and lower shafts making it possible to detect the cutter contact during infeeding and thereby make the infeeding operation automatable. It is also possible to make the infeeding of the individual cutters or cutter-box cutters such that it can be set depending on the difference in speed of the upper and lower shafts. The apparatus can be used for cutting machines of all types in which thin, uncoated or coated polymer films or metal foils can be cut.

  • Patent number: 5972262
Abstract: In a method of and a device for producing shaped parts, a pressing piston is longitudinally displaceable in a tube provided with a pressing mold so that in a first pressing stroke it slightly compresses a mixture of cuttings and/or fiber material with a binder, and in a second stroke it finally compresses the mixture.

  • Patent number: 5905350
Abstract: A position measuring system to determine the absolute angle position of a rotor of a motor during startup. With this absolute angle position, correct commutation for startup of the motor is provided. During later operation a high-precision incremental angle measurement is possible. For this purpose a switching unit is disposed between a rotary transducer and an evaluation unit, which is driven in such a manner that first the analog signals necessary for the determination of the absolute angle position are input to the evaluation unit and thereafter the analog signals required for incremental angle measurement are input to the evaluation unit. In order to avoid unacceptable incorrect positioning in case of incorrect switching between the first and second modes of operation, all the analog signals have an approximately equal spacing period.

  • Patent number: 5795583
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for preparing homogeneous dispersions of fluidizable bulk materials, wherein, in a first step, fluidizable bulk materials are blended with liquid to produce a raw dispersion and, in a second step, the raw dispersion is conveyed through a continuous enclosed dispersing apparatus by means of a forced-conveyance apparatus.

  • Patent number: 4990164
Abstract: A process is described for the photochemical stabilization of undyed and dyed polyamide fibre material, and blends thereof with other fibres, using photochemically stabilizing compositions based on copper compounds of phenols, which process comprises treating the polyamide fibre material with fibre-reactive organic copper complexes of the reaction products of o-hydroxybenzoyl derivatives of the formula ##STR1## wherein R is hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl and the OH substituent is located in the 3-, 4- or 5-position, with aliphatic diamines or hydroxylamine. The copper complex compounds are distinguished by a high rate of exhaustion on to the polyamide fibre material, a feature which is significant in economic terms because of the low consumption of product.

  • Patent number: 4655785
Abstract: A process for the photochemical stabilization of undyed and dyed polyamide or polyurethane fibre material that is characterized in that the fibre material is treated with a water soluble, organic copper, manganese or nickel complex that displays an affinity for the fibres. The polyamide or polyurethane fibre material, e.g., textile, that has been so treated retains its stretch characteristics and elasticity even after prolonged periods of illumination. In addition, in the case of dyed material, treatment with the metal complex results in a marked improvement in light-fastness.

  • Patent number: 4655783
Abstract: A process for photochemical stabilization of non-dyed and dyed polyamide fibre material and mixtures thereof with other fibres which comprises treating the fibre material with a fibre-reactive copper complex of bisazomethines prepared from, for example, salicylaldehydes and aliphatic diamines is described. Some of these copper complexes used are novel compounds. The polyamide fibre material, for example textile material, thus treated largely retains its extensibility and elasticity even after relatively prolonged exposure to light. In addition, a clear improvement in light-fastness is achieved in dyed material by treatment with the metal complex.
