Abstract: A device suitable for monitoring loads exerted on body parts features a measuring device (1) for acquiring a load parameter and an electronic unit (103). The latter possesses an input device (11) for the purpose of entering a load reference range, an analysis device (16), an indicating device (9, 15), a microprocessor (18) and a data memory (19). Fed into the latter are raw data, analysis data derived herefrom, and reference range data. The microprocessor (18), serves to calculate the relationship between momentary-loading and the reference range; the comparative values thus obtained are also stored. From the stored data, and if necessary temporal values, statistical values can be obtained and stored. Indicating device (9,15) permits data to be displayed and stored synchronously. Stored data relating to a load history can be retrieved by means of a retrieval device (11), which permits improved monitoring of loading activities.
