Patent number: 8257149Abstract: The invention relates to a method, in particular a turning method, for producing a rotationally symmetrical surface on a rotating workpiece (1), wherein a cutting edge (3) is inserted into the workpiece (1) many times. During each insertion (41), a new contour portion (11; 34), also referred to as a groove, is formed. The insertion positions lie so closely together that the resulting contour (7) generated on the workpiece (1) consists exclusively of adjacent residual contours or residual grooves (11?) which have arisen from the new contour portions or grooves (11; 34). Any interim contour portions (24) which have formed between the insertion positions during repositioning of the cutting edge (3) are removed again during the next insertion (41). The resulting rotationally symmetrical surface is twist-free. The method can be implemented using conventional lathes.Type: GrantFiled: December 8, 2006Date of Patent: September 4, 2012Assignee: FELSOMAT GmbH & Co. KGInventor: Helmut Jaeger

Patent number: 8006359Abstract: A machine tool for processing tooth formations of workpieces, includes a rotary holder which can be rotated about a main axis A, two workpiece spindles which are arranged on the rotary holder, with the workpiece spindles having spindle axes (Sa, Sb) which are orientated parallel with the main axis A, in particular with the workpiece spindles being arranged symmetrically about the main axis A, and a tool holder for a tool for processing a workpiece on one of the workpiece spindles, is characterized in that the main axis A of the rotary holder extends horizontally. With this machine tool, contamination of the rotary holder and tool spindles by removed chips can be reduced and the structural complexity for a relative feed movement of the tool with respect to the workpiece parallel with the spindle axes can be reduced.Type: GrantFiled: December 8, 2006Date of Patent: August 30, 2011Assignee: Felsomat GmbH & Co. Publication number: 20090297324Abstract: The invention describes a supply module for stackable pallets, on which workpieces and/or tools can be disposed. On the supply module there are disposed several stacking bays arranged in succession in a row, at each of which a stack of pallets can be mounted in holding means, such as hooks. At least one transport module can be driven along the row beneath the stacking bays, the transport module carrying a lifting device with it. A pallet or a stack of pallets can be gripped from below by the lifting device. The supply module according to the invention can manage a large number of stacking bays, and hence pallets, in a cost-effective manner, even large stack heights being possible.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 16, 2007Publication date: December 3, 2009Inventor: Helmut Jaeger

Patent number: 7210636Abstract: In a transition rail (1) for the connection of rails having different rail cross sections (2, 3), the transition rail (1) comprises two transition zones (a,c), wherein in a first transition zone (c) the larger-height cross-sectional profile is reshaped to transition into a smaller profile height and in the following, second transition zone (a) the rail foot is worked to match the new profile of the consecutive rail foot. The method for producing the transition rail is characterized in that the transition rail is at first heated and introduced into a press mold, whereupon the rail is reshaped in the web region and pressed in the direction of the profile height, and that the rail foot is mechanically worked following complete reshaping.Type: GrantFiled: April 4, 2003Date of Patent: May 1, 2007Assignees: VAE Eisenbahnsysteme GmbH, VAE GmbHInventors: Helmut Jäger, Wolfgang Hölzl
