Patent number: 7210636Abstract: In a transition rail (1) for the connection of rails having different rail cross sections (2, 3), the transition rail (1) comprises two transition zones (a,c), wherein in a first transition zone (c) the larger-height cross-sectional profile is reshaped to transition into a smaller profile height and in the following, second transition zone (a) the rail foot is worked to match the new profile of the consecutive rail foot. The method for producing the transition rail is characterized in that the transition rail is at first heated and introduced into a press mold, whereupon the rail is reshaped in the web region and pressed in the direction of the profile height, and that the rail foot is mechanically worked following complete reshaping.Type: GrantFiled: April 4, 2003Date of Patent: May 1, 2007Assignees: VAE Eisenbahnsysteme GmbH, VAE GmbHInventors: Helmut Jäger, Wolfgang Hölzl

Patent number: 6471920Abstract: An apparatus for treatment of electrically conductive continuous material, like wire material, copper wire in particular, is proposed, wherein the treatment is effected during the movement of the continuous material in its direction of extension through the apparatus. The apparatus can be used for heating, annealing or surface cleaning of the continuous material. The apparatus includes contact. means for creating an electrical contact with the moved continuous material and an electrode arrangement arranged with a distance to the continuous material and at least partly encompassing it, wherein in a gas discharge chamber located between the continuous material and the electrode arrangement and filled with a reaction gas an electrical gas discharge can be generated by applying an electrical voltage between the contact means 5 and said electrode arrangement for treatment of the continuous material.Type: GrantFiled: October 24, 2000Date of Patent: October 29, 2002Assignee: Mag Maschinen Und Apparatebau AktiengesellschaftInventors: Hans-Jörg Aigner, Helmut Jäger

Patent number: 5536137Abstract: The invention proposes a handling system and method for feeding workpieces to a subsequent machining unit having a working area which is enclosed toward the outside by a protective wall and in which a stack presentation device, preferably configured as a pallet transfer device, is provided for presenting workpiece carriers with unmachined workpieces and for receiving workpiece carriers after the machine operation. A loading device is assigned to the stack presentation device for receiving workpieces and for delivering them to the subsequent machining unit. Feeding the workpiece carriers into the working area is effected by a stack-changing device, preferably designed as a rotary table having an H-shaped rotary frame into which the workpiece carrier stacks can be introduced on trolleys.Type: GrantFiled: March 15, 1995Date of Patent: July 16, 1996Assignee: Felsomat GmbH & Co. Patent number: 4632858Abstract: The filler fleece material of the invention consists of a laminate of two layers of fleece containing bonding fibers. The thinner layer, which serves as a covering fleece, consists to at least 60% of thermoplastic bonding fibers which melt at the same or a lower temperature than those of the central fleece. This combination makes it possible, after the depositing of the fiber layers and the thermal consolidation of the central fleece, to perform a process for smoothing the cover layer, in which the laminate is exposed in a roller gap to a temperature that is above the fiber melting point of the cover fleece. The filler fleece material of the invention, on account of its smooth yet still sufficiently air-permeable cover layer, is no longer subject to fiber protrusion. Furthermore, the clinging of projecting fibers during application to textile surface materials is reliably prevented.Type: GrantFiled: October 30, 1984Date of Patent: December 30, 1986Assignee: Firma Carl FreudenbergInventors: Jurgen Knoke, Helmut Jager, Ludwig Dekant, Dieter Groitzsch
