  • Patent number: 8747061
Abstract: A steam turbine with at least one magnetic bearing for the shaft is provided, a metal paneling being attached in the area of a magnetic bearing. The metal paneling consists of metal rings insulated from one another. Further, cooling air ducts are provided in the area of the magnetic bearing.

  • Publication number: 20120288370
Abstract: A turbomachine includes a housing and a shaft mounted rotatably relative to the housing about a rotary axis, an element with a through opening through which the shaft protrudes, a first ring element and a second ring element. The first ring element is arranged with its inner surface on the shaft and the element is fixed by the first ring element at a predetermined position on the shaft. The second ring element is arranged with its inner surface lying on the outer surface of the first ring element, which outer surface tapers conically from a first axial end to a second axially opposite axial end. The inner surface of the second ring element tapers conically in a complementary way to the outer surface of the first ring element. An axial movement of the second ring element relative to the first ring element compresses the first ring element against the shaft.

  • Patent number: 6406252
Abstract: The steam turbine has an exhaust-steam casing that can be adapted to various combinations of an inlet casing, connected upstream of the exhaust-steam casing, and a condenser especially simply while maintaining favorable flow properties of the exhaust steam. To this end, the outer jacket of the exhaust-steam casing has a first jacket part in the shape of a cylindrical jacket, which is connected via a stiffening ring to a second jacket part in the shape of a conical jacket. A guide element in the shape of a conical jacket is arranged on the stiffening ring in order to direct the exhaust-steam flow inside the outer jacket.

  • Patent number: 6231305
Abstract: The steam turbine has an exhaust steam housing and a turbine rotor mounted in an end bearing. The turbine installation is intended to have a high stability with respect to movements of the exhaust steam housing, with a particularly high rigidity of the end bearing. For this purpose, the end bearing is held by a support guided through the exhaust steam housing and supported on a foundation block. In a steam turbine installation having a steam turbine of this type, a condenser assigned to the steam turbine is detachably but rigidly connected to the exhaust steam housing.
