  • Patent number: 11918109
Abstract: A crossmember is disclosed that includes an elongate rod portion and two latching claws. The rod portion has a central longitudinal axis, a first longitudinal end and a second longitudinal end substantially opposite the first longitudinal end. The first latching claw is arranged at the first longitudinal end of the rod portion and the second latching claw is arranged at the second longitudinal end of the rod portion. The first latching claw and the second latching claw each include a gripping portion shaped to correspond to a rod-shaped element and are designed to be mounted on the rod-shaped element without tools. The gripping portion of the first latching claw is offset from the gripping portion of the second latching claw with respect to the central longitudinal axis of the rod portion.

  • Publication number: 20070051547
Abstract: A method for assisting the driver of a vehicle (10) during a driving maneuver such as, for example, a parking or positioning maneuver. In such a case, a reference trajectory (16) along which the vehicle (10) is to be moved is determined. A steering wheel position which is to be set and which steers the vehicle along the reference trajectory (16) is indicated to the driver during the driving maneuver. A steering angle deviation between the actual steering angle which is actually set by the driver and the setpoint steering angle which corresponds to the requested steering wheel position is corrected independently of the driver.

  • Patent number: 7089101
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for assisting the driver of a vehicle (10) when performing a driving maneuver, such as a parking or shunting maneuver. In this case, a reference trajectory (16) is determined, along which the vehicle (10) is to be moved. A steering wheel position to be set and controlling the vehicle along the reference trajectory (16) is indicated to the driver during the driving maneuver. The vehicle longitudinal speed is influenced independently of the driver in the event of a steering angle deviation between the actual steering angle actually set by the driver and the desired steering angle corresponding to the requested steering wheel position. As a result, the driver can be given a greater reaction time in order to set the indicated steering wheel position.

  • Publication number: 20060113119
Abstract: 1. Method and device for assisting the driver of a vehicle during a parking maneuver. 2.1. Known devices for assisting the driver of a vehicle during the execution of a parking maneuver usually comprise surroundings-sensing means for sensing and measuring potential parking gaps, means for determining a parking strategy and information means for outputting instructions to the driver, which instructions guide him into the parking gap. The new method and the new device are intended to provide the driver with better assistance during the execution of the parking maneuver. 2.2. For this purpose, a parking situation image on which the parking gap, an optimum setpoint position and a first and second vehicle are represented in a plan view is displayed to the driver on an image display device.

  • Patent number: 5955954
Abstract: A warning and measuring device for personal protection with a rod-shaped casing shape. The shape of the casing allows the device to be suitable 1. for measuring if held in the hand or mounted on a tripod, 2. for warning when carried on the body and 3. for leak detection in hollow conductors. This is made possible through a compact construction and a movable absorber which in an absorber package within a cap can be fitted to the casing while the cap is detachable and can be used as handle on the other end. The device can be economically manufactured and with regard to quality can be considered a high-quality measuring instrument.

  • Patent number: 5877619
Abstract: A method of null balancing a hand field-strength meter is described in which the effect of the measurement probe on the balancing is suppressed by short-circuiting the measurement probe by two MOS-FETs connected in series across the probe outputs so that the null balancing can be performed when the field-strength meter is located in the vicinity of a high strength field. In a preferred embodiment of the null balancing circuit for the meter another circuit branch consisting of two other complimentary MOS-FETs connected in series with each other is connected in parallel across the first two MOS-FETs via two resistors R1,R2.

  • Patent number: 5859532
Abstract: In a method and a measuring device for metal detection with the use of a coil arrangement the spatially offset transmitting coils are controlled with pulse sequences of different pulse patterns. The receiving coils associated with the transmitting coils are scanned with respect to the received measuring signals with a scan pattern corresponding to the respective associated pulse pattern. It is therefore possible to control simultaneously all transmitting coils and to provide a spatial determination of a metal object located in a throughgoing region of a gate frame.

  • Patent number: 4054828
Abstract: To provide for uniformity of power dissipation in the components of the switching system, regardless of the duty cycle upon repetitive, cyclical operation, the coupling resistors connected to the driver transistor and to the power transistor are so dimensioned relative to each other, and to the internal resistances of the driver transistor and the power transistor of the system that, in an initial approximation, the dissipation losses arising in the system are independent of the duty cycle of the switching transistor; this is obtained by selecting the sum of the resistance value of the collector resistor for the driver transistor and the base transistor of the power transistor such that (a) when the driver transistor is blocked, current flowing to the base of the power transistor holds the power transistor in full, saturated conduction and (b) the value of the collector resistor for the driver transistor is so selected that, when the driver transistor is conductive, the sum of the dissipated power in the coll

  • Patent number: 3987392
Abstract: A plurality of luminescent elements, such as light-emitting diodes, incandescent lamps or the like, are located adjacent each other, each connected to the output of a difference amplifier. The respective inputs of the difference amplifier are connected, on the one hand, to a voltage divider to have different reference voltages applied thereto and, on the other, in common to the input voltage to be sampled so that, as the voltage changes between the amplification ranges of the difference amplifiers, the output therefrom will change in accordance with input voltage so that the brightness of the respectively connected luminescent elements will also change, thus providing gradual increase in brightness of any individual element as the voltage changes. The difference amplifiers may be differentially connected operational amplifiers.

  • Patent number: 3930304
Abstract: Supplementary metallized connection parts short-circuiting or connecting incremental sub-components of one or more circuit elements of an integrated circuit are laid down on the semiconductor slice at the same time as the usual metallized connection pattern is made. The components associated with the incremental sub-components are measured to determine the program of adjustment and selective burnout of the supplementary connections. The selective burnout is carried out by applying a sequence of pulses to the segments to be burned out under monitoring by a measuring circuit, which blocks the delivery of further pulses, either immediately or after one or a few more pulses, when the measuring circuit detects the opening of the connection. The process is preferably carried out on integrated circuits before the semiconductor slice on which they are made is separated into individual circuit units.
