  • Patent number: 7221752
Abstract: A service feature server makes it possible to provide service features in addition to the service features that are already provided in a telecommunications system. A separate module is provided for this purpose in the telecommunications system, which coordinates the calling of service features on the service feature server and on the telecommunications system, and controls the presentation of the corresponding service features on an operator switching position. The operator switching position is intended to be, for example, a personal computer, for which an operator interface need be created only for the additional service features. Access is made to the standard operator interface in order to use standard service features, and to the additional operator interface for the additional service features. In particular, the new functionality offers the operator a plurality of queues, which he or she can access separately.

  • Patent number: 6788780
Abstract: In a communication apparatus for a communication network, a call distribution unit distributes calls that come in for the communication network to a corresponding switching equipment unit, which is provided for accepting the calls and for forwarding the calls. The switching equipment unit comprises a different control unit, whereby a first type of control unit is responsible for calls of lower priority and a second type of control unit is responsible for calls of higher priority. When a corresponding interrogating key is operated, the calls of higher priority that are pending at the second control unit are accepted, whereas calls of lower priority that are pending at the first control unit are only accepted when calls of higher priority are not pending at the second control unit when corresponding call acceptance units are operated.

  • Patent number: 5949756
Abstract: Line bundles (LB1 . . . 4) containing combined narrowband connections to be switched between time division multiplex communication systems (KS) are converted into a cell-oriented information stream (IS). A predetermined number of the line bundles (LB1, LB2) is switched via permanent virtual connections (PVC1, PVC2) of an ATM communication network (KN). Switched permanent virtual connections (SPVC1, SPVC2) are set up in the ATM communication network (KN) for the switching of additional line bundles (LB3, LB4). The switched permanent virtual connections (SPVC1, SPVC2) are respectively set up and dismantled in dependence on the traffic volume (VB) between the communication systems (KS). The switching-oriented resources of the ATM communication network (KN) are used more efficiently, and the ATM network switching costs are reduced.

  • Patent number: 5872785
Abstract: Message and signaling information (ni, si) of partial line bundles (TLB1..3) of a line bundle (LB) of a communication system (KS1..3), which line bundle have a central signaling channel (CCS), are switched to additional communication systems (KS1..3) via an ATM communication network (KN). The message information and signaling information (ni, si) are allocated cell-by-cell to virtual channels (VC1..34) of a virtual path (VP1..3) representing a partial line bundle (TLB1..3). The signaling information (si) transmitted in the central signaling channel (CCS) is separated according to partial line bundles, and, after the switching via the ATM communication network (KN), is inserted into the central signaling channel (CCS) of an additional line bundle (LB).

  • Patent number: 5467387
Abstract: In a method for influencing a signaling procedure communication terminal equipment of a communication system, subscriber performance features are displayed on a display at the communication terminal equipment. The individual subscriber performance features are then optically marked by means of two navigation keys and the marking is controlled in a forward direction and in a reverse direction. A subscriber performance feature is selected by actuating an activation key that is located at the communication terminal equipment.

  • Patent number: 5067153
Abstract: A transmission of subscriber data occurs between subscriber equipment in communication systems in order to be able to display such subscriber data on a display of subscriber equipment of a call partner. The display of the subscriber data of what is referred to as secret subscriber equipment at the call partner is prevented. The secret status of such subscriber equipment can be canceled in general or call-associated with identification information that is generated and transmitted on the basis of an identification function activated with cancel secrecy information.
