  • Patent number: 10005258
Abstract: A layered structure that includes at least a first layer and a second layer is provided. The second layer includes at least one barrier layer. A bonding substance is partially disposed between the barrier layer and the first layer to create a bond between the barrier layer and the first layer. The bonding substance contains a first component that has, at 25° C., a shear modulus of not more than 3×105 Pa in accordance with the Dahlquist criterion. The bonding substance may also contain a second component having adhesive characteristics. The first component also has a low viscosity such that a force (F) between the first and second layers which acts on at least one of the layers in a force action area is distributed by a plastic flow onto an area which is larger than the force action area.

  • Patent number: 9066545
Abstract: Disclosed is a piece of garment, e.g. in the form of a glove, comprising an outer layer that encloses at least one interior space which is provided with an opening for accommodating a body part such as a hand and is subdivided into at least two adjoining chambers. Each chamber encompasses at least one chamber opening that is arranged in the opening of the interior space and selectively accommodates the body part such as a hand. The material of each chamber can be constructed with at least one layer of protective material which can be provided with an insulating material, a functional layer material, a cut-resistant material, a heat-resistant and/or a flame-proof material, for example. The inventive design allows the user of the glove to selectively put his/her hand into one of the chambers that are provided, according to the desired protective effect, while the unused chamber lies in the interior space in a compressed manner.

  • Publication number: 20110179549
Abstract: A layered structure (1), in particular for production of apparel (50, 70) such as a glove or head covering, comprises at least a first layer (10) and a second layer (20, 22), the second layer including at least a barrier layer (20), and a bonding substance (30) partially disposed between the barrier layer (20) and the first layer (10) to create a bond between the barrier layer and the first layer. The bonding substance (30) includes at least one component (32) of low viscosity such that a force (F) between the first and second layers (10, 20) which acts on at least one of the layers (10, 20) in a force action area (A1) is distributed by a plastic flow onto an area (A2) which is larger than the force action area (A1). More particularly, the bonding substance (30) includes at least one component (32) which is configured such that it has, at 25° C., a shear modulus of not more than 3×105 Pa in accordance with the Dahlquist criterion.

  • Patent number: 4280940
Abstract: The present invention relates to transparent thermoplastic compositions on the basis of vinyl chloride polymers which can easily be processed and simultaneously have a good viscosity and good resistance to light and weather. They consist of a mixture of a special vinyl chloride polymer and two different, differently chlorinated chloropolyethylenes.

  • Patent number: 4113805
Abstract: Blends of vinyl chloride polymers and chlorination products of polyolefins well suitable for dry blend technique are obtained by using a chlorinated low pressure polyethylene with a chlorine content of 38 to 42% by weight, a residue value of 55 to 70% by weight and a swelling value of less than 1% by weight, prepared from high-density polyethylene, having a density of 0.955 to 0.965 g/cm.sup.3, a melting index of 20 to 65 g/10 min and a reduced specific viscosity of 1 to 2 dl/g, under certain conditions.
