  • Patent number: 8054546
Abstract: The invention relates to glass facades to be used as media screens 9, including slat reflectors 30, 31, 38, 39, 60, 61, 79, 90 arranged horizontally, one above the other, in front of, or behind, or between glass panes 80, 81 as receivers for artificial, projected, and natural light. The slat reflectors 27, 30, 31, 38, 39, 60, 61, 79, 90-92 receive and radiate sun 62 on their upper side 65, 100, 101. On their white lower side 30, 31, 82, 112, 123 they receive projected light 76, 105, 111 from an exterior light source, projecting from below upwards. The projection axis is aligned at an angle ?. The slat reflectors for projected light are orientated in an angle ?1 and form a scale shaped media screen. At least between the projection receiving parts of the slats a distance D is created.

  • Publication number: 20020008915
Abstract: The invention relates to sun protection installations comprising reflective sun protection lamellae consisting of portions having a toothed upper side disposed at least towards sun radiation influx wherein the individual teeth are formed of at least two tooth sides, and at least one first tooth side is, at least partly, exposed to sun light irradiation. Sun light irradiation, at least within the first lamella portions, can be retro-reflected by one single reflection into the outer space by the first tooth side having an angle of impact &agr;1. The tooth angle of impact &agr;1 of the tooth sides exposed to the sun light are so selected within the first lamella portions facing the irradiation area that in case of parallel sun light larger angles of impact &bgr; of the sun radiation are obtained so that inciding sun light may be reflected back, by one single reflection, to the outer space.

  • Patent number: 5495724
Abstract: A cooling system which can be fastened on a ceiling with a suspension provided beneath the ceiling disposed above a space to be cooled and with cooling pipes between the ceiling and the suspension wherein the space to be cooled and the space between the ceiling and the suspension are connected with each other through air current paths.

  • Patent number: 5363908
Abstract: The invention relates to a heating and cooling arrangement with which the occurrence of sweat water at particular sites can be prevented. To this end a carrier is provided in which is disposed a pipe or tube system which transports a heating or cooling fluid. The temperature of the cooling fluid is given off to the carrier and radiated into the room. Below the carrier is located a sweat water channel connected mechanically with this carrier. In order to achieve a thermal separation between carrier and channel a heat resistance with a given heat insulation value is provided between the two or the channel is layed out so that it has on its underside a thermal insulator.

  • Patent number: 5293305
Abstract: A light guidance system for the illumination of an interior area with a light deflection device which reflects daylight coming from outside of the interior area as well as artificial light coming from inside of the interior area. The light deflection device comprises several elements disposed parallel to one another and spaced apart from one another such that light from outside of the interior area can penetrate through the space into the interior area, and each of said several elements has at least one reflector surface and is impervious to light.

  • Patent number: 4715358
Abstract: Apparatus for automatic control of incident solar radiation consisting of transparent wall elements (2,3) and of opaque elements (7,8). The control is effected by reflection depending on the angle of incidence of the solar radiation. Single walled and multiple walled apparatuses are possible. In a simple two walled apparatus the opaque elements (7,8) are joined to two parallel wall elements (2,3) at an angle .alpha., at least the wall element (2) directed towards the sun being translucent. The opaque elements (7,8) may be flat mirrors or mirrors of a particular shape. The specially shaped mirror sections (94,95) form radiation concentration and emission funnels, wherein absorber pipes may be provided in the radiation emission funnels. The two walled apparatus having flat reflective elements (7,8) between the wall elements (2,3) may be manufactured in a production line.
