  • Patent number: 5891344
Abstract: A flow control apparatus for enriching gas containing oxygen with ozone includes a generator for producing the enriched mixture. A flow meter is connected to the generator outlet to measure the flow of the generated enriched gas. A mass flow control device is connected downstream of the flow meter. A flow control comparator compares a flow value as obtained from the measuring means and a preset constant value. A signal output of the flow control comparator is connected to a signal input of the mass flow control device for varying the mass flow in accordance with the comparison. An outlet of the mass flow control device is connected to an inlet of a compressor for compressing gas, the inlet gas pressure varying to keep compressed gas at a constant pressure. Feedback is provided between an outlet and an inlet of the compressor. A second mass control device is intermediately connected along the feedback connection for adjusting the mass flow of gas passing through the feedback means.

  • Patent number: 5283605
Abstract: A device for testing contacting and/or wiring of sockets connected to a circuit board includes a housing with oppositely arranged inner side walls. First guiding elements are connected to the inner side walls and are spaced at a certain grid distance from one another. At least one testing adaptor is connected to the housing for testing one of the sockets. The testing adaptor has a flat casing with a forward end and opposite longitudinal narrow sides. A testing head is connected to the forward end. The casing further has second guiding elements connected to the longitudinal narrow sides whereby the first and the second guiding elements are slidably connected such that the testing head is movable toward and attachable to the socket for establishing electrical contact. Between the first and the second guiding elements an intermediate member is inserted. The intermediate member has a third guiding element and a fourth guiding element oppositely oriented relative to one another.

  • Patent number: 5145653
Abstract: In ozone generators having segmented inner electrodes (7), the electric connection of the segments is effected by means of plane contact areas (10) applied to the ends of the segments. A tension rod (11) passing through all segments ensures cohesion and, at the same time, is used as the connecting element for supplying the ozone generator with power.

  • Patent number: 5134363
Abstract: In an arrangement for testing electrical circuit boards an intermediary adapter is disposed between the circuit board and a basic adapter. For converting a grid offset as well as a grid with smaller grid step width to the grid of contact areas in the basic adapter converters (11) are provided which on their top side have test piece-specific arrangements of contact needles (31), for example for SMD structural elements. On the underside the converters (11) are provided with contact pins (36) in a grid corresponding to the contact area bank of the basic adapter. The grid of the contact pins (36) is displaced laterally or diagonally relative to the side edges (44) of converters (11) so that by rotating the converters (11) about their longitudinal axes offsetting the contact pins (36) for contacting the contact areas of the basic adapter can be carried out.

  • Patent number: 4732004
Abstract: In a process for purifying and deaerating the feed water line in the circulation system of a power-generating plant heated by nuclear power, the following steps are carried out in order to solve acute problems of steam-generator corrosion:(a) when the preheater train is filled, with the steam-generator isolating valve (40) closed, the condensate flows several times via a recirculation line (37, 52, 53) back to the condensate-collecting vessel (6) and to the condensate purification apparatus (9);(b) below the water level (7) in the condensate-collecting vessel (6), a deaerating medium (37,38,39) is introduced into the condensate via spray nozzles, rises in the condensate and forms in the deaerating chamber (44), as result of displacement of the air present in its, a cushion which is conducive to oxygen deaerating;(c) the steam produced during deaerating is precipitated in an additional condenser (48) which is located in the venting line upstream of the vacuum pump (47) and which is subjected to a secondary coo

  • Patent number: 4729667
Abstract: The process consists in that two comparison tube sections (3; 4), which originate from a single condenser tube and of which one (3) is left in the corroded condition and/or the condition encrusted by mineral deposits and the other (4) is brought into the new condition by etching or other cleaning procedures, are conductively connected in series, and cooling water flows through them and they are heated from the outside in a condenser chamber in each case (1 and 2 respectively) by steam flows of equal power. The temperatures (t.sub.1, t.sub.2 and t.sub.3, t.sub.4 respectively) measured at the inlet and outlet positions of the comparison tube sections (3; 4), the measured values of the mass flow of cooling water (M.sub.w) and the steam temperatures (t.sub.f ; t.sub.b) and the heat flows (Q.sub.kf =Q.sub.kb) in the two condenser chambers (1 and 2 respectively) permit the determination of the thermal resistance (R.sub.

  • Patent number: 4330034
Abstract: In order to reduce the difference in stress of the tubes through which heating steam is flowing in the case of heat exchangers where the tubes are concentrated in at least two horizontal bundles and where heating steam flows through the tubes and a power medium flows around the tubes, it is proposed that there are arranged at the intake openings of the tubes (1) through which the heating steam is flowing baffles (3) with different intake profiles (4) in such manner that within each bundle of tubes the intake profiles (4) will become smaller in direction of flow of the power medium to be heated.
