  • Publication number: 20180310808
Abstract: A sterile adapter for arrangement between a sterilizable endoscope and a camera head with a distal end attachable to the endoscope, and a proximal end attachable to the camera head, wherein the sterile adapter has a tube with a longitudinal axis, with a longitudinal portion having an internal diameter reduced in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis and which forms a central opening which is dimensioned such that, while a free propagation of light is possible between the endoscope and the camera head along the longitudinal axis, it is nonetheless made difficult to reach through an interior of the sterile adapter enclosed by the tube.

  • Patent number: 9962064
Abstract: An adapter for the releasable and relockable coupling of an endoscope with a camera head has an inner wall and an outer wall that are connected with one another via a connecting wall extending between the inner wall and outer wall at or near their first axial ends, and which inner wall and outer wall are arranged with at least a lateral separation from one another, so that an open clearance results between the inner wall and outer wall on a second axial side that is situated opposite the first axial ends. Furthermore, the adapter comprises a coupling wall that seals a clearance enclosed by the inner wall at or near a second axial end of the inner wall, such that the clearance that is enclosed by the inner wall is open at a first axial side that is situated opposite the second axial end of the inner wall.

  • Patent number: 9019427
Abstract: Apparatus for examining vocal folds and a method for operating said arrangement that avoid the large fluctuations in the image brightness of the camera system and thus the flickering, which is unpleasant for the user, is provided. The apparatus comprises a stroboscopic light source, a camera control unit having a camera head, a microphone, an optical waveguide, and an optical assembly, wherein the stroboscopic light source has a signal-conducting connection to the camera control unit, and the camera head is placed on the optical assembly, wherein the camera head and the microphone have signal-conducting connections to the camera control unit, and the optical assembly is connected to the light source by means of the optical waveguide.

  • Patent number: 5667475
Abstract: An instrument for endoscopic subfascial discission of perforans veins (ESDP) consists of a surgical endoscope (1) and a tube (9). The surgical endoscope (1) contains an optical image recording and transmission system, a fiber-optic lighting system and a working channel (4). A lateral handle (14) forms in an obtuse angle with the surgical endoscope and has at least one reproduction and lighting system (8, 6) guided to coupling spots (5, 7) provided at the proximal end of tube instrument. The distal end of the tube (9) extends beyond the distal end of be surgical endoscope (1) and is designed as a thicker, atraumatic lip (10) that contains a suction channel (12) diametrically arranged to a front lens system (16) and connected through a space (11) between the shaft (2) and the tube (9) to a connection fitting (13) for a suction hose (15).

  • Patent number: 5423761
Abstract: A closing system for an instrument passage, particularly for use in laparoscopic puncture devices. The object of the invention is to provide a closing system of safe operation which permits a non-complicated cleaning and has a simple and comparatively small construction. The object is realized according to the invention in that a closing member is a floatingly seated disc which centrally fits into a conical seat and which is held in any position only by a non-symmetrically acting magnetic force of at least one magnet, preferably a permanent magnet.
